This team based, multiplayer online first person shooter could have received more rave reviews from critics and players around the world and it’s easy to see why. Winner of numerous awards, Overwatch now has over 35 million players as of the end of 2017!
Choose from over 20 unique ‘heroes’ as you scrap it out in 6 versus 6 team battles. Each hero has their own unique look, weapons (which means no weapon pick up option) and abilities. They’re also divided into 4 distinct role types; Offense, Defence, Tank and Support.
Offense characters are designed to be involved right in the middle of the action. They’re highly mobile and have weapons that can cause some serious damage. Defensive characters are equipped with weapons and abilities that enable them to hang back from the front line and cause damage from distance. Whether that’s with a sniper rifle or by setting booby traps.
Tank characters are pretty slow (no shock there), but what they lack in speed they sure make up for in size and strength. These massive units are extremely powerful and hard to do damage to due to their huge shields. The Support characters have the ability to aid their teammates and weaken their enemies. Some are able to heal their friends and even resurrect them completely.
The two fundamental game modes see you either securing and defending control points on a map, or escorting a payload from one area of the map to another in a limited amount of time – simple yet very effective and continues to draw players back time after time.
