WhatCounter- Strike: Global Offensive is probably the most popular multiplayer game on PC at the moment, along with last year's Overwatch. What Valve has done with this game, is pretty much take the original Counter Strike, polish and polish it up, add some new features, and release it as this new game. Which is frankly quite disappointing. Valve could've gone all out with this game, create a true and genuine evolution from CS1. But alas, they make this. This is not a bad game, it is very polished, the sound design is on point, and the graphics are solid, but this wasn't the evolution that the Counter Strike franchise needed.

Game has many of the same core value, teamwork, tactics, skills as the predecessor had. It was a great way to improve the game, but the modifications can also be bad.Con:Skins... Skins may be the most popular part of CS:GO, just like the hats in TF2, however can cause graphics problems. Rendering, dropping frames, it often can affect it. But the worst about skins is it's used for gambling. Yes, the CS:GO gambling is a real problem. And the second con is the updates that is coming out. It has BEEN A LONG TIME since the last operation, but even worse, some updates actually cause performance issues.IN conclusion, if you have a good PC and a pocketfull of $$$, then CS:GO is an excellent game to try. Otherwise, just go play CoD or BF.

Zero innovation. Same maps, same weapons, only weaker, a bit more graphics and bam, new game.Seriously, this is a minor improvement overZero innovation. Same maps, same weapons, only weaker, a bit more graphics and bam, new game.Seriously, this is a minor improvement over Source, one I didn't need. Valve has again caved in to the "pro" gamers (like that's a real sport) and removed all the new features, like reacting to shots. No, the simplest shooter every has made a comeback, with FIRE! But still can't lay down, react to shots, the online gameplay is WORSE as lag plays an even greater role, the bugs have come back, and, frankly, this will never change as long as Valve keeps on letting a few spoiled brats who learned the game by heart dictate how "new" games work.I'm getting really tired of this. Every new game, the guns are weaker and weaker. Nobody survives 4 shots to the torso with a Desert Eagle. A L96 sniper will still explode you if it clips a wooden box. A salvo from an AK47 or an M16 will put you in a box. This game is going downhill.I am a long time CS fan and I'm very serious when I say that every new version of CS is less and less fun. From a fast paced CQB game to a "click the head" flash game with better graphics. And bugs, bugs everywhere. It is unacceptable that in 2013 shooting someone in an online game doesn't "take" because he has lag.

When it comes down to it, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive may follow the same old formula of gameplay seen in previous versions of Counter-Strike, but it's still a well-rounded tactical shooter. It may not try anything drastically different or revolutionize the series by taking it in a new direction, but there's still enough there to appeal to newbies and hardcore fans alike.
