This was my first time playing both AC3 and ACL even though I played every other AC game. They have tried to implement so many new things after Ezio trilogy and somehow everything they did was terrible. Even remastering graphic made so many bugs. There are only 2 things I would consider good. First is Connor personality. I kinda like him as an assassin. Second thing is animations of settlers. Those are really good. Overall it is at most 5/10 game.ACL - This is smaller game compared to main AC games but it is perfection. Not a single thing that would annoyed me. On the other hand some things I really love. For example having 3 personas is maybe the best idea they had. Also there is most beautiful loading screen in the entire series. Amazing game 10/10.

They took a terrible game, made it operate worse and then slapped some paint on it to call it “pretty”. Do not buy.

While it hardly stands among the best remasters, its no where near as objectively worsening the game (... than it already did to itself in its original release) like the Ezio Collections (my gosh... that one NPC face from hell in the first opening scene with ezio and that gang, you all know what I'm talking about), but it did enhance the visuals noticeably and made some minor tweaks to gameplay: my god, the expansion in the crafting system definitely a welcome addition. Then little subtle tweaks to certain stealth and combat mechanics that made it better.Nothing groundbreaking, and doesn't change it from being the fundamentally mediocre game it was (Black Flag was the one to properly implement that innovative changes in the series more properly), but nevertheless, visually improved and a mildly/moderately smoother gameplay.... otherwise its still one of (if not) the weakest games in the series....and we all know we're only tempted to go back to AC3 for the brutally satisfying Tomahawk combat lol.Youre better off replaying Black Flag, if any AC's after Ezio (where the series went down hill after, Black Flag aside)

It has many interesting mechanics as weapons, naval missions, naval upgrdes, commerse, crafting, assassination missions for your crew. There is pleny things to do. Also you can kill a lot of american and brits (Is a good change if you are bore to kill germans in videogames).

Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered is a tricky one. The term ‘remastered’ feels a little disingenuous compared to the other consoles. Yet at the same time, the game at least in handheld runs as well as it did on last gen consoles. If you want to play Assassin’s Creed how it used to be on a handheld, you can’t go wrong with AC3, as long as you can accept it as it was a generation ago. If you didn’t like AC3 the first time then this time around likely won’t change your mind. If you haven’t played the earlier entries in the series, this would be the weirdest place to start.

If you absolutely feel the need to relive Desmond’s disappointing conclusion, do so on other platforms. At least the letdown looks a bit nicer there.

Despite the few issues like unnoticeable graphical improvements and a slow beginning, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered features solid gameplay and a story underneath its surface that more than quantifies the investment. The sheer amount of things to do will lead to you investing hundreds of hours into this game.

This game has its problems like any other but does not deserve this low of a rating. Stop bashing great games before they discontinue and stop pushing out physical copies. Saints row was just as gorgeous and not to mention the content you get with AC3. Better than super mario odyssey in my opinion

Both Assassin's Creed III and Liberation are titles worth investing time into. They contain tons of content that’s fun, and the time setting makes for some interesting scenarios, but the technical issues for this Switch port aren’t worth the trade off for being able to play on the go. These issues aren’t bad enough that the Remastered editions on the Switch are an unplayable mess, but it’s still a mess regardless.

Assassin's Creed III Remastered on the Nintendo Switch is an adaptation that's not without its problems, especially when it comes to hit detection, framerate and unsolved bugs and technical issues. Despite all that, the combat and gameplay are enjoyable and competent and the game's shortcomings act more like nuisances to an experience that needs some polishing.

I have had this game on almost every system, and no it doesn’t look best here but it looks great and plays well plus having it on the go makes this without question my favorite way to enjoy this fantastic title. Imagine how disheartened I was to come online and see all the poor reviews (much like every other switch port recently). Do you guys really expect it to keep up with the big consoles? You are basically screaming to developers, “don’t even try open world games on the switch”. As a developer myself, it’s obvious love went into this port, and to be received this way, I can tell you, I would NEVER publish a triple A port on this platform as the user base is never satisfied. Better off sticking to 2D platformers and casual games.All that said, this is a great port (not without issues), and for something this engaging on the go, you won’t find better anywhere else. I suggest you enjoy it too because publishers are about done throwing games this vast at the system because they always go entirely un appreciated.

Overall a good game that is weighed down by a few bugs that shouldn’t hinder your experience.

Assassin's Creed 3 is playfully still a good action adventure game that I can recommend to anyone who has not played it yet. Some gameplay elements and features may not be up-to-date anymore, but you'll get a satisfying and comprehensive package by today's standards.

Textures are worse, the game is locked to 60 fps which the original was not, faces now look absolutely atrocious (the scared kid in the opera house at the beginning was always a bit creepy looking, but now he's nightmare fuel) and facial textures are far, far worse than before - and lip syncing is off in places where it didn't use to be. It's just amazing to me how a supposed "remaster" - and one for which they charge as a new game - can manage to take a step back in every area, seven years after the original came out.

While the new version makes the game more accessible, offers more depth on the domain's management and a small but not marginal graphic facelift (notably sunlight management). It is unfortunately counterbalanced by the main character models being sometimes less polished, a catastrophic display of nights and a rather embarrassing bridle of the experience. This version is recommended for those who could not play the original game. However, the PC version is highly recommended, at least for the 60 FPS availability.

Assassin’s Creed III Remastered on Xbox One is a good game which is fun to play. The graphics may be significantly improved but this is essentially the same as it was seven years ago, albeit now up against much stronger competition. If you’ve never played it before, at £29.99, with all the DLC, it’s worth a look.

Assassin's Creed III Remastered version is just a nice try. It's a nice try to bring glory to a mediocre game, which hasn't been good enough upon its release and surely isn't good enough now. The UI changes definitely improve the gameplay, and the graphics are truly amazing - but still aren't close to other games from this era. If you haven't played it before, you might want to check it off your list since it does have a unique story. If you have, I recommend not wasting your time unless you're feeling really, really nostalgic and have nothing better to do.

Overall, this remaster puts a nice coat of paint on a great experience and I'd recommend everyone, especially those who weren't so hot on it at release, give it a try to see how it's held up.

At the end of the day, I love AC3. I know that I’m not the average player, having studied the Marquis de Lafayette at a college level, but I love sinking hours into Ubisoft’s version of colonial America, where the oft-overlooked make the most important choices of all. Also, I can attack as many Redcoats as I want, with the only consequence being a city-wide manhunt. With this fresh coat of paint, Assassin’s Creed III has never been more fun—providing you enjoyed it in the first place.

Even a high-quality remaster such as this can’t hide the fact that Assassin’s Creed III is too much a product of its time and has little to offer modern gaming.

Assassin's Creed III Remastered pays tribute to the 2012 game and gives us its best version. This is the best opportunity to play one of the most misunderstood games of recent years and enjoy the incredible work of Ubisoft Barcelona in a great remastering that gives the game fresh graphics.
