Meltdown is a pleasant surprise if you play it only for a couple of hours. However, the longer you play it, the more the game starts to show its flaws.Although technically a twin-stick shooter, Meltdown plays best when played with a keyboard + mouse. You probably begin the game with zero expectations and your first impressions will be positive. It has an awesome dubstep soundtrack, responsive action and a nice skill tree that you can contribute your points into. But after several missions, you will find out that to beat some of the missions you need to get stronger, which in Meltdown’s case means, grind previous levels. Also, later levels start to feel just more of the same with its identical level designs and the game gets repetitive to point that it is just boring.At first this didn’t really make any sense to me. Why would they make a game that could be considered good but it isn’t because it has a very unnecessary grinding design and unlock mechanics that make you want to play more built into it? Then I’ve read it was a PC port of a mobile game with its microtransactions stripped off for the PC port. Oh well, that explains…
Ok, just bought this cute little game on Steam for 3.99 euros. Yes, it is early access, so there are some bugs and other stuff but that is notOk, just bought this cute little game on Steam for 3.99 euros. Yes, it is early access, so there are some bugs and other stuff but that is not a problem. Graphics are very nice, music is good, action sometime very challenging. Good thing is that this game have MP and you can play with others, friends or someone else. Game runs smoothly. Customisation of character is good. you can reset upgrades any time you want and use it again from the start. I'll give score of 8 because this is my first impression. Lets wait and see how things are gonna develop for this game in the future because this game is still developing and new things are gonna come soon. For now this looks very promising.
