Let me tell you why. The game, four years after it came out, IS STILL BUGGY! At some points, assets take their time to load, and at one point, Batman was beating up invisible people and talking to an invisible person. I watched a clip on YouTube to see if this was working correctly, and sure enough, it was not. I was supposed to see Batman beat up thugs, and then talk to a cop that was almost killed by the thugs. The only minor criticism I have is the super ability, which I feel does not need a meter because you are gonna use it during the scripted events. There is never a time where you need it and you can't use it because the meter isn't full.I do recommend playing this game, despite the glitches, be overall, it was a stable game that was super awesome.

Choices in this game weren't as game changing as I would like them to be, but it was fun to have a choice. Graphics looks good, I do like the comic art style. I do prefer the switch version over the PC (I played this game on PC 3 years earlier and I had more fun with this game on my switch). Also, Joker is my favourite person from all the DC universe and he was there (btw, I do like Telltales interpretation of Joker). Overall I have spent a pleasant time with this game 7.6/10. It was a good revision of the plot before I started the sequel. (It's worth to buy this game on sale)

The game allows freedom of choice, so that Batman personality can be defined by the player. It would need to improve on the gameplay, which gets repetitive throughout the game. (Plot-hole galore)What I certainly didn't expect are the QTE that sometimes take you by surprise and can be more difficult than for an action game. Which would be bearable if on top of this, there was a rewind feature (It use to be the case I believe). Most of the time it does not matter, but when it does and you've failed a critical QTE by one press, you can only restart the whole chapter or accept the pitiful outcome.When I want an action challenge, I play Demon Souls, Monster Hunter or Bloodborne. This was meant to be relaxing.I see no point enduring more of this : I'll never play another Telltale, ever.

Batman: The Telltale Series brings together some of the franchise's most iconic heroes and villains, weaving a story that is intriguing and thrilling for the most part. It can be predictable at times, and the game engine is well past its sell by date, but fans and newcomers alike will love what Telltale have crafted here.

Batman - The Telltale Series completely caught me off guard in the best way possible. The scene direction combined with the truly exhilarating action and drama made for an unforgettable experience from start to finish. There can be frequent load times and frame rate drops, but they don't really matter as it never gets in the way of the fun and exciting story. What did tarnish an otherwise fantastic game was the awful save system that failed me multiple times, making me repeat 3 hours of gameplay I had already experienced. But if you can get past that and are a fan of The Dark Knight trilogy or Netflix's Daredevil, you should feel right at home and won't want to miss experiencing this new series.

Not bad by any means, but the seriously plodding pace for the first few episodes kills much of the excitement in Batman - The Telltale Series. Though the game really picks up for a great crescendo in the latter two episodes.

Despite its underwhelming technical performance and watered-down visuals, it’s a gritty and violent story that captures Gotham City in a similar way to other modern stories about Batman. Else, if you’re not really a fan of Bruce Wayne and his after hour activities, maybe hold out until another episodic Telltale game based on a different series is released.

While Batman: The Telltale Series pulls off a novel retelling of the titular Bat's origin, it still falls into the same traps that plague much of Telltale's catalogue of games. Low stakes choices, inconsistent storytelling, and short episodes all culminate in a season that squanders all its potential by the finale. This is especially disappointing since there are genuine high points. The relationship between Bruce and Selina is handled excellently, and the concept behind Harvey Dent's downfall is arguably more iconic than ever thanks to the intimate nature of the game. Unfortunately, these moments aren't enough to save the story from unearned twists and a lacklustre conclusion. Batman: The Telltale Series is worthwhile enough for Batman fans looking for an original story sporting a fresh-faced Bruce Wayne, but this is one series that will struggle to win over any Telltale detractors.

Fans should definitely check this game out, though the Nintendo Switch version does lack a lot of the polish seen on other platforms. But if you want to take your Batman experience on the go then this is your best choice.

If you can accept the studio's adventure game formula and the fairly large deviations to the canon, then Batman: The Telltale Series is a good game. The story remains gripping, and the additions to the gameplay formula make this feel more refined over the studio's previous efforts. The lack of further technical polish, however, is unfortunate; fixing those issues would've placed this game in the upper echelon of the studio's offerings. As it stands, Batman fans will certainly want to check out this title.

It's a game for Batman fans who really don't care about the form. Or for fans of Telltale's products who aren't picky about the content.

Okay, so technical issues aside Batman – The Telltale Series is worth checking out. If you happen to live inside the Venn diagram of people who enjoyed Rocksteady’s Arkham series and like to play Telltale-style adventure games, then it’s a must. Or, if you’re simply a fan of the comic book series.

Batman: The Telltale Series is not very new in gameplay. The love for the franchise is there, the authentic story feels real, but the game does not offer enough action or surprises.

Batman: The Telltale Series gives the bitter and the sweet. On one hand, it’s nice to see the story of Gotham’s villains from another point of view, and know Batman’s human side is inspiring too. On the other hand, it’s incomprehensible how Telltale still brings us a game with a second rate Spanish translation, a shabby technical section or some increasingly petty and easy quick time events.

This game is a must play for any Batman fan and a must play for any Telltale fan. The story is different and refreshing but has the best of Telltale baked in with the decisions and the flowing dialogue. It was a pleasure to play and another shining example of great story telling in a game and had some of the best QTE I’ve seen in one of their games.

In the end Batman feels like a rough start, and if I wasn’t such a fan of the characters, I am not sure I would come back for more. However, being such a huge fan I find myself wanting to see where it goes, warts and all, which is something Telltale seriously needs to address. This engine has been chugging along far too long, and instead of acquiring new licenses for properties, it might be time to take a break and build a new engine, one that can handle these grand narratives they are trying to build.

The usual Telltale's formula, applied to a superhero story, with some smart ideas and a plot focused much more on Bruce Wayne rather than on Batman himself.

About the only nice thing I can say about Batman is that it’s short. It only took me about eight hours to complete the game’s five episodes, and I was happy when it was over. So obviously, I don’t recommend this game to anyone for any reason, unless you’re an obstinate fan of the Dark Knight.
