Watch Dogs: Legion

Know somebody who might be like this game?

Summary

In Watch Dogs: Legion, near future London is facing its downfall...unless you do something about it. Build a resistance, fight back, and give the city back to the people. It’s time to rise up.

Storyline

London’s fallen into a technological nightmare, but you’re sharp enough to adapt. Rally the resistance to use the city’s tech against the powers that be.

Where will you find your army? How about everywhere? Every Londoner has a reason to fight back. Play as literally any character – a bartender, an ex-spy, a graffiti artist, a fallen boxer, a well-connected lawyer, a stark raving mad grandma, anyone.

This game has one of the best, most realistic and darkest storylines ever written by Ubisoft. Playing this game in hard mode with permadeath is an amazing challenge!! The concept of recruiting literally anyone in the map is brilliant and works very well, and since there are a lot of special characters with unique skills and weapons, there's an almost pokemon vibe to it. But the biggest star here is the city of london, by far the most immersive city I've seen in a video game, and I've spent many hours just exploring it.

Because sometimes I like the Ubi formula, I enjoyed Farcry 5. But here the gameplay is more generic and unpolished.Sometimes I accidently jumped to a camera because the distraction feature was not reloaded yet (they have the same button mapping), which was very annoying. Also sometimes you cant see how long the damn reload for the distraction feature needs. When trying to at least finish the story, the already boring gameplay slows you down even further, with an infiltration mission where you cant run, and which is done 100 times better in Hitman. The main missions changes from one plot to another, when it starts to get interesting, it cuts off and starts a new story with a spoken sentence like "it hurts to let go that person, but we have to find out more about the new thing". I thinked about to force me through this further, I saw that I had a playtime of 5 hours, and the internet said that the main story takes about 18 hours, so I only said no thanks. I dont want to waste my time further, for almost 2 times the same amount of time that I already spent.

Ubisoft forces you to accept online data capture and sharing to play the console game locally. Seriously, you cannot play the game locally onUbisoft forces you to accept online data capture and sharing to play the console game locally. Seriously, you cannot play the game locally on your console without a valid login on their website, and agreeing to their terms of sharing your data. Unbelievable.Even if this isn't a problem for you:* the only way to authenticate is to manually enter a complex password via the xbox gui -- there's no option to sign in and link your account* website refuses to use valid/real mobile phone numbers for verification* website breaks/blank page if you enable and successfully verify by email* support responses are insulting and dehumanizingIn short, the experience of dealing with Ubisoft's completely broken user registration and data theft has so burned me that I'll never find out whether this game is half as fun as it looks.
