Summary

Tryst is a competitive Real Time Strategy Game that aims to provide a unique, fast paced spin to the established strategy model that combines player choice with unit customization.

War has erupted on the lonely planet of Ishtonia IV. Humans and a sentient, mechanical alien race known as the Zali – former collaborators in the mining and processing of the rare compound, Lohum – now see each other as threats to their continued existence on the planet both had so tenuously shared.

Guide reluctant Overseer Oliver Petrovich and Rebel leader Aeryn Ozarr through the campaign where they witness the war breakout and fight their way through the madness to try and understand the cause of the sudden hostilities. What both have yet to realize is that they’re witnessing history, creating it, and somewhere down the line a tryst with destiny awaits.

Or else, wade into multiplayer as either the Ishtonian Alliance or the Zali, fighting for control over resources while trying to outwit your opponent and survive the worst Ishtonia can throw at you.

Tryst will not win an originality award but it’s a ‘solid’ RTS, catering to those that yearn for an old-fashioned game, sporting a decent single-player mode and robust multiplayer features to keep them, and their online friends, entertained.

Tryst is a bad joke, a clickfest designed probably with eSports in mind, but so abysmal that no one will bother with it.

Tryst seems to be targeting people looking for an RTS experience at a lower price point, and I think there might be something here for those gamers. Meanwhile, the game's developers are promising bug fixes, fleshed out tutorials, and DLC to make the game worth the price for the rest of us.

BlueGiant has't brought us a very good title. It could be improved in many aspects and it doesn't offer anything new. Maybe its price and multiplayer will make it interesting for some players, but we think it's not worth it unless you're a fanatic of the genre.

Tryst could be summarized with one, single word: speed. Everything in the game is fast, sometimes too fast, but it is a good way to provide an easy approach to hardcore gamers as well as newcomers.
