Yes, this version looks and sounds better, but at the core this essentially the same game that was released back in 1993.

This port has some good options such as resolution control, so the game will fit and scale to proper resolutions, at least for the 16:9 monitor that I was using. The control is great, I was using a keyboard because I don't have controller. One thing I noticed is that the frame rate is locked at 60 FPS, but it isn't noticeable and only know that because I had a frame rate counter. I would highly recommend this game for anyone that loves the Sonic series, retro platformers, or platformers in general.
