I may just be stubborn but I do struggle with “games” that feel like you’re merely being pulled along for the ride rather than having a part to play with some participation. All that said, there’s something about the tone, characters, and general vibe of Necrobarista that at least sets it pretty far apart from the likes of its general competition… and I respect that. Don’t walk into it expecting to be able to change the course of events it sets into motion, but if you’re willing to sit back and enjoy the ride it at least has an interesting point of view to express in the area of life and death.https://www.nindiespotlight.com/2021/08/mini-reviews-august-19th-edition.html

Necrobarista: Final Pour is a going to bring a lot of new fans to the visual novel genre once it's fascinating concept is made known to the mainstream. If this is a first experience, it's a great introduction and one that will set the benchmark for others. The story is engaging and looks great on the Switch, and any chance to explore is rewarded with world building insights that frame the main plot. Don't expect any earth-shattering revelations, but instead cosy up for a very human tale with a relaxing narrative and engaging characters. Except Ashley. She sucks.

Necrobarista is a relatively short yet beautifully directed visual novel that tackles a couple of serious themes such as death and general parting with people. Although linear, it tends to tell its story with no holding back, whether you are going to like it or not. Even though the Switch version runs much more poorly compared to the previous PC release, this remains to be an intriguing story filled with interesting characters and great storytelling.

Necobarista is a slice of life and it's just that. Perhaps, the lack of interaction is part of the message; It's like death, we can't avoid it and we just wait until it's the right time. Although it does not make it a bad game, we feel like it's a prologue of a promising thing that never comes.

Necrobarista: Final Pour is a compelling and, I don’t use this lightly, thought-provoking tale about dealing with what comes after, told in a unique way with a cast of incredibly relatable characters. It’s like hanging out with a group of friends at a coffee shop and considering the state of things as this review is being written. So you might just need that.
