And here are some nice surprises as the game offers many hidden synergies between them. Putting many rocks and mountains next to each other creates a Great Mountain, the Vampire Manor turns Villages into ghouls' spawns, which can become Towns after a while, if we survive some loops, etc.It could be cheaper, but it seems to offer enough entertainment (and that is before I unlocked the second character class) to pay off in getting it during the promotion. There is much more to praise this game for: the complexity of it’s deckbuilding and tile placements and how these can be a test of knowledge to maximise their potential; the superb blend of gameplay mechanics intertwined with the theme of entropy and destruction as well as the open-design methodology towards accessibility with a series of optional aids. But to talk about these more would be a disservice to the rewarding experience of discovering these mechanics for yourself, so here’s where I’ll leave it...I can think of no higher praise than to admit that even as I write this review, I have Loop Hero playing in the background. My adventurer, step by step, ticking away at his sisyphean struggle to restore the world.

I won't say anything about the story since it's fun to discover, but it's solid and plays out at a pleasant pace, with an ethereal fantasy theme. There is tension, close calls, strong comebacks and power fantasy all in perfect balance. If you like games, you will like this game.
