A great approach to fitness that feels fresh and easy to fit into a busy schedule. Could have more variation in on-screen places and characters to help escapism.

Yes it's a bit rough on the edges, but hey...it's the perfect companion to all the other fitness apps. It's a whole body rhythm game and it will make you move and sweat! I remember Fitness Boxing 1 and it was about equally rough, yet it gave you a good workout. This is that. I hope the developer will keep improving the formula, this is great!!! It's in my daily workout routine along with FB 2 now, perfect companions!

However, compared to something within the same type of game like Fitness Boxing, it is inferior as far as features and ease of playing.Knockout Home Fitness does not provide any tutorials for new moves--you're just thrown into the exercise and presented with one and expected to immediately follow along with the model. This makes doing exercises with the proper form difficult. I was already familiar with the basic punches from Fitness Boxing, but when they got into things like 2 handed strikes I was at a complete loss as to what exactly I was supposed to do.The game also doesn't provide a lot of customization as far as your daily personal training. Up to half an hour of exercise a day is healthy--why does the game think that two 4 minute exercises is enough for a full daily workout? This is in contrast to Fitness Boxing which provides detailed lessons on new movements before they show up in exercises, as well as the ability to go back to look at and practice those moves, a far more customizable daily workout, and a UI that's easier to follow as far as using your left vs. right. Knockout is definitely better in terms of having more variety in its workouts, but if you have the choice, Fitness Boxing is a superior exercise game in just about every other way (to say nothing of Ringfit).

The true yardstick by which an exercise game should be measured is whether or not it was effective in getting players off the couch and into physical activity; I think it’s safe to say that Knockout Home Fitness clears the mark. Its short but intense sessions are appealing to those who, like me, struggle to commit to cardio; after only 15 minutes each day, you really do feel like you’ve gotten in a good workout. While I do wish it better instructed players on form and stretching, its rhythm-based mechanics make martial arts-based exercise fun and, dare I say, addicting. If you’re ready to jumpstart your fitness journey but don’t know where to begin, Knockout Home Fitness will absolutely get you going on the right track.
