It remind me also style of FinalFantasy which was my most favorite jrpg in the past. I had no idea before buying how good this game is.

Many elements of this game are quite incredible, but there are several detractors which keep it from being a perfect experience. Managing all the different system for each of your characters can be enjoyable at times, but more often than not felt like busywork. Figuring out how to use the battle system is unclear and it takes several hours until you unlock the mechanics which actually make combat fun. Many of the characters are over-designed, and frankly look a bit hideous. The side quests are serviceable, but never engaged me nearly as much as the main story content. However, apart from one or two pacing issues and a few inconsistent vocal performances, I love just about everything else. The story is relatively intricate and deep, and leads to some very effective emotional beats. The characters are (for the most part) quite well defined and enjoyable to interact with. The soundtrack is outstanding, and contains some of my favorite songs from any video game I've ever played. The battle system can be tremendously fun in the latter half, and has some very unique and satisfying mechanics. The worlds are vast and enjoyable to explore. Visually it's incredibly good, the substandard resolution is a shame, but it doesn't actively detract from the experience while playing. It is unfortunate that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 doesn't contain the level of consistency seen in it's predecessor, but it is still highly worthwhile. In fact, the high points in 2 are often far higher than those in 1, even if the overall quality doesn't quite match up. I'd recommend trying Xenoblade 2 out, if you can get past the flaws it's one of the most unique and beautiful games out there.

Extensive and massive JRPG. Although with a rather cliché story and characters, it comes with a beautiful world and a fighting system growing more and more complex with every hour played.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a game that impresses by its size and its ambition. After more than 160 hours necessary to complete 100% of the game I can say that it is a gift for any fan of RPGs, being one of the most impressive games to have in the first year of a console. With varied and very beautiful music this game will guarantee dozens of hours of fun. With so many excellent qualities, Xenoblade 2 is a must-have game in your library and will make you little by little enchanted by these incredible characters.

Without being the game of the year, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 manages to offer enough good things to be a very decent JRPG game that is worth the attention of any Nintendo Switch owner, in spite of a few shortcomings like the awful clipping and framerate drops.

They feel very weak/cringy at times.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is exactly what we expected it to be: a magnificent and elaborate game, full of secrets waiting to be unlocked. The joys of exploring play a role as crucial as the writing, which is able to create a deep and original plot. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a masterpiece: another exclusive for Nintendo Switch that you simply can’t miss.

With its amazing story and deep combat system Xenoblade Chronicles 2 offers an excellent sequel to what probably is the best jrpg of the past two console generations.
