I’ve played Rust since 2017. And I’ve played thousands of hours of other survival / FPS games on console. RUST CONSOLE IS HORRIBLE IN EVERYI’ve played Rust since 2017. DEVS ARE DIRT SLOW, PVP IS HORRENDOUSLY AWKWARD, UPDATES NEVER COME, AND ITS ONLY SOMEWHAT “playable” on PS5! *cough* and it’s a PS4 game, oops! I don’t understand how devs can get a game SO WRONG. I could make a better game hiring people off of Fiverr. If you want to hate this game, buy it and play it on whatever console you have. If you want to love this game, buy the PC VERSION.

The game is good enough, but the drop in frames prevents you from having fun, but the developers are trying, I wish them good luck!

Rust Console Edition is an addictive multiplayer survival game that will give great satisfaction only to those who will embrace its philosophy based on cooperation and PvP fights, without which the gaming experience is likely to become too frustrating. In addition, the game is suffering from a very poor technical realization, so as to seem an early access game rather than a full one. Given these issues, it is only advisable to super-enthusiasts of the genre.

A ruthless and brutal survival game, unfortunately not that entertaining to play. A modest porting for console with some serious inaccuracies (bugs and crashes), did not convince us.

Rust Console Edition manages to transcribe the wildly popular PC experience, but a few key missing features mean it falls short of what it should be. It could be great in time, but right now it feels like a disappointing misstep in comparison to the fleshed out PC version.

Rust: Console Edition is ruthlessly challenging survival sandbox that can make even the most tedious task feel like a victory when properly executed. The console port is around three years behind its PC counterpart in updates, leading to poor quality that makes the struggles of an already unfair world feel exacerbated.

Loading into a server takes about 15 tries, error after error and once you finally get in and get going you crash in the middle of no where and lose everything. Still alright to play with mates at points but in general for the price and the amount of time we have waited for the console port, not worth it.

If you can get over the poor graphics, bugs and the constant attempts on your life, Rust: Console Edition has plenty to offer you. The game is definitely suited to a very niche group and that’s OK because once you overcome the initial learning curve, Rust can be great (especially if you can group up with friends or even other in game players).

If you’re really into this type of hardcore survival game and can get over the dated graphics, controls and overall feel and this was the only game you wanted to play everyday, 7 days a week for 8 hours a day, then I can honestly see you really enjoying Rust: Console Edition. If that doesn’t appeal to you then this might be a hard pass otherwise.

Rust Console Edition is, simply, a console port of an 8-year-old PC survival game that has managed to stand the test of time. It may not perform as smoothly on console yet but the desperate fights for survival against hostile forces still remains.

ok so I'm seeing a few negative reviews and im not sure why the game whilst not being the greatest quality is playable you just have to getok so I'm seeing a few negative reviews and im not sure why the game whilst not being the greatest quality is playable you just have to get past the learning curve/start and then your fine once you have a base and a sleeping bag or 2 you just go out and farm to expand your base and learn new bp's my only problem with the game is the fact that stone nodes are such a rare thing in the fresh spawn areas but once you get down a base all those issues are resolved and stone nodes seem more frequent as long as you aren't too close to spawn plus barrels have consistent and short timers for respawning and pvp whilst a bit difficult is manageable my only issue is the stone node rarity and the newbies (they cant be stopped) but other than that excellent port just a bit of a steep learning curve / start to the game its definitely worth the £40 or so on amazon if you can get your friends to buy it you can have a great time

Rust is an unflinching multiplayer survival game that requires endurance and patience in order to really unlock its potential. The dynamics it creates in terms of player interaction are endlessly fascinating and prove to be a real boon for organic narrative flashpoints between players. Its pure multiplayer focus does mean it doesn’t have what you’d call a traditional endgame, but it more than makes up for that with the unpredictability its social design brings.

Rust: Console Edition will see its player base split into two. You’ll either spend your time dying repeatedly, or you’ll get good enough to become the villain of the server.

The game crashes and has so many issues the servers are not available either . Keep in mind you had to play extra to have access 3 days early and the Serbs don’t work . Ridiculously bad port do not buy
