I highly recommend this game to every TBS gamefan. The only thing that not good is the screen tearing. I hope they fix that. Gameplay is fun!

For Sci-fi strategy fans Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is a pretty good hit, even without any exposure to the lore. There is just a lot of good things to say about mowing down aliens hordes. There are some small, but ever-present issues that drag down an otherwise really good experience. The UI is particularly abysmal, and some parts of the game really drag on and bog down, but overall it's a pretty fun deal.

While Warhamer 40,000: Battlesector may not bring radical innovation to the turn-based tactics genre, it’s a treat to spend time with a game that has a mastery of the fundamentals and executes on them while also correctly applying an IP which has historically struggled to deliver positive experiences. Battlesector is definitely one of the good ones, and I absolutely enjoyed my time with it — considering that the 40K license has tons and tons and tons of content left to tap, if the developers add new campaigns as DLC, I’ll be more than happy to keep playing this all year long.

Battlesector offers a solid campaign, but little else. Showing the Devastation Of Baal’s aftermath, it isn’t newcomer-friendly, but it’s good for Warhammer fans.

A pleasant peek for fans of univers, who want more "forties". The remaining players of turn-based strategies lets look elsewhere. There is a lot to choose from.

Bien pensé donc ce Battlesector, y compris dans son interface sur console mais globalement -aussi- d’une lenteur assez décourageante…A noter que le jeu n’est pas optimisé X|S mais tourne à 60 im/s… sauf lorsque trop d’unités se castagnent et se déplacent… et c’est sans compter les micro-saccades dès qu’on sélectionne l’unité suivante ! bref, c’est loin d’être optimisé tout ça, dans tous les sens du terme même si graphiquement, ça ne reste pas vilain du tout pour un jeu au budget réduit (les cinématiques sont de simples images) mais vendu tout de même 40 balles.On déplore les polices bien trop petites qui nuisent clairement au confort de jeu durant les missions ou sur le menu des améliorations ; ça sent le portage du PC à la va-vite sauf que qu’il ne se sont pas rendus compte que le consoleux n’est pas le nez collé à l’écran comme le pécédègue de base ! et aucune option ne permet d’ajuster la taille des polices.Enfin, l’espèce d’histoire racontée ici est évidemment bancale à moins d’être déjà amateur du monde Warhammer sans doute (toutes les voix sont en anglais soit dit en passant). Mais le plus ennuyeux après tant d’heures passées reste cette mission vers la fin du jeu qui oblige à reconsidérer la composition de son armée : en effet, afin de passer les murs, il faut des unités avec une capacité aérienne, sinon impossible de la finir ! car derrière ces murs pullulent une mégachiée de créatures très énervées. Et comme d’habitude, il faut éradiquer tout ça…Pas eu le courage de recommencer la dite-mission avec uniquement les unités adéquates, car sévèrement lassé, pour ne pas dire carrément gavé !… la lenteur générale a eu raison de ma patience. Un bon potentiel de jeu gâché donc, par des choix de game design décidément fort peu judicieux ! dommage, la musique et l’ambiance étaient vraiment très réussies.

You can customize each squad - great option, but due to only 2 fractions till the end of the game you finalize your blood angels and smash Tyranids - its fun but straightforward.Story (7/10) - For non Waha fans - you need to watch the entranced video for about 2 hours to understand the background. After this you can admire the story. So the story is good, just because of the background. The characters are very average and not very epic.If you are the Warhammer 40 k fan or want to check what is all about - it's definitely worth to try, just for atmosphere. In other cases - you will not miss anything.

I do wish there were a few campaign missions with the Tyranids and it can definitely be a bit of a daunting prospect for newcomers, but if you push through will find that Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is a wonderful experience that will make you get the miniatures out again. Say goodbye to your social life.

Apart from the Momentum mechanic, Battlesector adds little to the tactics formula. The tactical confrontations are smooth enough to keep you entertained for several hours, but in terms of mission design, unit personalization and storytelling, the game falls too short.

While that might sound like a catastrophic weakness for a tactics game, it’s really not and hidden well. Look at how compelling Advance Wars or Final Fantasy Tactics is despite the simplicity of the enemy AI and the actual on-field tactics. Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector aims for a similar casual tactical feel as those kinds of games, and, thanks to the excellent and authentic depiction of the grimdark 40K universe, nails it. This is just plain good tactics play, and sometimes that’s enough.

If only it had multiple factions to choose from with their own stories orcs, chaos etc like in StarCraft two it would be perfect.

If you like your battles tactical then this is a great game to sink you teeth into. The campaign escalates nicely and does a good job of selling the desperation of your mission. Being able to easily switch out your units and play around with army composition is also a really nice touch that means you don’t end up locked into a single playstyle. Campaign re-playability is somewhat lacking but the skirmish mode gives you the chance to play against friends so there is that. Considering how many new campaigns and modes were added to Deadlock over the years, we can probably expect some expansions in the future.

To date, ‘Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector’ is the best digital rendition of the Warhammer 40k table-top miniatures game that I’ve ever played. The amazing attention to detail and unknowing nature of each mission will resonate deeply with 40k fans and be a good starting point for newcomers to the franchise. Personally, I would have loved to have seen more factions engaged in battle but introducing the Sisters of Battle as reinforcements has been a clever way to expand the list of units available without straying away from the deep lore that the game is set in. Although I wouldn’t call ‘Battlesector’ a difficult game, it does pose quite the challenge for players of all skill levels. I recommend this game to anyone who wants to get into Warhammer or is already a fan. Hopefully more units and factions will become available in the future, further adding to enormous amount replay value.

The missions are interesting and propel the story forward adding new troops with each one.The game is only let down by a few QoL failings and it could use more than 2 factions at release. even so it's an excellent game worthy of your time and money.

Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector doesn't shine in any of its key aspects, but is well represented by the sum of its parts. It is a solid strategy, developed with competence and with a sense of proportion, with which experts of the genre will immediately find themselves at ease. The impression that he is missing a few pieces is still there, and we would have gladly exchanged part of the long campaign for a more in-depth progression system or a management component. Those simply looking for "yet another Warhammer 40,000 strategy" may have found it.

Aside from some doubts about the balance and the AI, and some Warhammer-specific quibbles, Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is a great Blood Angels experience.
