After that, you are left with a lot of challenges and a few "endless" modes, but these just recycle the levels from the main story over and over again. Like one more The Matrix's ideas reuse. And the difficulty sometimes spiked for me to unplayable levels. But I managed to get through.

Without a doubt it’s one of the most original shooters ever created, but I must warn you that if you don’t get hooked on challenges, you’ll be done with the game in about 3 hours, because it’s how long the campaign takes.

Super Hot is a first person shooter unlike any other. It’s very narrative driven, mind blowing, fps similar to games such as Portal or The Stanley Parable. It’s quite the mind trip and the time driven game mechanic is actually a lot of fun. Just be prepared to run around saying “Super Hot” in your head for the next few days. It’s short but sweet and well worth the trip into this virtual world.

Wonky tech and punishing challenges will leave your cold, but with our without VR, this has moments of brilliance that are worth the price of admission alone.

Playing Superhot is probably the closest I'll ever come to feeling like James Bond. I've never experienced anything quite like throwing an empty weapon at an enemy, knocking their weapon out of their hands, grabbing it in midair, and then shooting them with it. If that sounds awesome to you (and why wouldn't it?) then make sure to give Superhot a try.

Superhot and its VR version finally arrive to PS4 after collecting awards and accolades on Microsoft platforms. It’s an original game, addictive, intelligent and very fresh for those who did not play last year, also it’s more immersive in VR but it has many problems of natural handling with the PS Move.

A crafty base concept and careful execution make Superhot one of the most intriguing games to come from the recent class of indie-developed shooters. Its bizarre setting and puzzle-like approach are refreshingly original and hopefully something the team will now expand upon following Superhot’s early success.

From the opening stages to its thrilling conclusion, every single moment within SUPERHOT is a memorable one. Even a year removed from its initial release, its innovations are unmatched. Even those that aren’t typically a fan of the genre owe it to themselves to check out one of the finest games released in years.

It seems a bit paradoxical that SUPERHOT simultaneously plays exactly like every other shooter you’ve ever played and nothing like them at all, and yet, this is the case. Its inspired use of time makes for something that is as much a strategy or puzzle game as it is a shooter. And even though, you’ll only bring a few hours of your life to a standstill to be entertainment by SUPERHOT, those are a few hours well spent.

Although the campaign only lasts about two hours, I found it to be the perfect length to establish what it does, to get me invested, and then have me on my way before ever wearing out its welcome.

Amazingly addictive shooter raises the genre of action games from the ashes. You are the masters of the time and fun – what else could you wish for? Perhaps just a few more missions and a bit fewer of the technical issues.

SUPERHOT is a brilliant title. Each level is awesome and offer something different each time you play it. Its artistic achievement and its very innovative concept make it a smart game.

Whereas many strategy or puzzle games last much longer than they should or wrap up much sooner than anticipated, I think Superhot nails just about the right amount of time to place an emphasis on standard gameplay. Before things can get too overused or stale the main content is over and it's onto the seemingly neverending variations of levels available to test yourself with. To add to replay value there are also differing "modes" that prevent the use of certain items or make the main objective be that you complete the level in a specific fashion, furthering adding elements of strategy and puzzle to the gameplay. Simple in concept and only relatively more complicated in execution, Superhot is super and it is hot.Concept: Take the core of gameplay from any shooter and that gameplay will revolve around shooting, plain and simple. It's in the title just like it's in gaming DNA. Now add a twist where the entire thing moves in slow motion and you're prone to insta-kill enemies just as they can do so to you. Messes with your mind a little bit at first doesn't it?Graphics: I personally loved the art style that permeates this world. Your enemies are brightly colored but not so detailed as to be fleshed out beyond mere polygonal shapes. The same can be said for the surrounding world, which lacks color but remains sharp and clear in its definite shapes and settings.Sound: The sound work is nothing special or remotely spectacular but what it does is excellent pace the game along so that you never feel like you're chugging along slowly, rather playing through in a blur of speed alongside the constantly crescendoing and galloping soundtrack.Playability: There should be no confusion here once the controls have been established, as your one and only goal is to move forward at all costs, eliminating those who dare to stand in your way and doing your best to survive their counterattacks.Entertainment: For a title that revolves around slowing combat down, I never once felt bored or tired of the matters at hand and instead felt that much more tense and anxious as I made my way slowly but surely through the levels and the world.Replay Value: Moderately High.Overall Score: 8.0

Think of it as the videogame equivalent of a brilliant short film. Wasn’t that great, and wouldn’t you be excited to see it developed into something feature length? Stranger things have happened.

The story is probably a little too invasive, as it can take you out of the gameplay for a minute or more at a time. Most people will probably decry the length of the game's campaign, which can comfortably be beaten in under an hour and a half. Upon the campaign completion a slew of extra challenges unlock, but they may not be enough to incentivize casual players to stick around. In all a great game that deserves to be played, but perhaps not quite worth the $25 entry fee.

Whether you dive into its meta narrative or rehearse the executions of eight ballroom guards for the sixteenth time, Superhot invents a tactical, first-person shooter genre to call its own. Please, Superhot team, I need more.

The world looks simple, but the minimalistic approach works really well. I would hugely recommend this game, and has been one of my favourite FPS games recently.
