Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is a fun next-gen experience on the PlayStation 5 and the devs should be commended on implementing some new gaming tech with the franchise from 4K graphics to fast load times and my personal favourite, immersive haptics when you pull the trigger. From CQB to taking out enemies from a long range to sneaking in without killing anyone. The variety of surroind is fine, you have two types of maps: forest and desert like.The placement of the enemies is very good, I didn't have any hard time taking out enemies quietly.Weapons in the game are decent,there's really no big diffrence between them except the compound bow which is fantastic for quiet approach.What I really didn't like about the whole game is the acquiring of skill points. To get them you have to complete challenges which sometimes prevent you from completing the contract the way you want.The detection rate of enemies should be faster because ou can just jump around them like in payday.The sound from enemy weapons is almost none.The linear style of the game sometimes feels bad, I really wish they would make a great open world game, for now we have a pretty good sniper game.

The enemy AI needs work and the game’s budget was too low for the developers to polish all the details, but with its spacious environments perfect for extremely long shots (headshots on moving targets from 1500 meters are awesome!) and interesting combat scenarios turning sometimes into puzzle-like situations, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is definitely worth recommending as a well-designed, really fun game.

The free phases, between action and infiltration, are still present and the overall experience is very solid. CI Games is mastering its subject more and more and demonstrating it once again.

There is now the potential of war after the dictator in question has been assassinated and his widow who has now taken power is planning a violent attack on a region out of revenge. You play the role of Raven, a highly experienced sniper and it's your job to put an end to the ensued chaos. I l enjoy sniper genre based games and I really love to play as a professional sniper. There is something special here about trying not to be seen and crawling forward and waiting for the right opportunity and finally get your perfect head shot off. This is where the game shines the most as it is I absolutely fun to shoot terrorists and the feeling of the weapons are spot on. You get to follow the bullet in a slow motion sequence that ends with a lot of splatter and blood. Some of the animations are very graphic as one should expect from this game franchise. The maps are gigantic and there are a total of five maps where it is possible to move freely and complete assignments in a sandbox manner. Even though sniping is by far the most fun and well-designed part of the game, there are additional small goals which provide a welcomed change of pace. The size of the maps also means that it is not possible to run and gun as this game requires patience. It requires a little finesse and just like in previous games it is largely about finding a good place to shoot and since it is often at a distance of over a thousand meters, it is important that you are precise and calm. Graphically, there is no major update from the previous game, it is really nice in some places but not something that stands out in the genre. The game mechanics remain a bit clumsy but manageable. The story is slightly better than the last but remains predictable in nature. If you are a fan of this genre this is hands down a must buy, and if you’re not I don’t think anything is going to change your mind in this release. I highly recommend heading over to the Xbox digital game store and download it if you are a fan or on the fence. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contacts 2 will satisfy that sniping itch.

A rather predictable but all in all enjoyable experience, with some limitations (and some oddities) in artificial intelligence and an average graphics/sound department.
