A pleasant, imaginative, original and fair –regarding the amount of money it targeted on Kickstarter- adventure game. It doesn’t last long, but features a rich and vivid world, accompanied by excellent voice overs and harmonious music orchestration.

If you like to immerse yourself in tough but rewarding puzzles, pick up Nelly Cootalot. If you want to step into the shoes of a delightful, cartoon pirate – if only for a few hours -pick up Nelly Cootalot. Nelly Cootalot: the Fowl Fleet is a nice little game with great production values in writing and dubbing. Gameplay is basic and uninspired, but the narrative is a blast and you will have an hilarious time playing it.

Puzzles are very logical, maybe a bit on the easy side but I prefer that to having illogical puzzles I have to consult a walkthrough to get past. I'm giving it a 9 instead of a 10 because I encountered one puzzle that didn't work properly with my computer, but I seem to be the only person who has encountered the problem.The story is interesting and the humor is great.

In a month full of high-quality adventure games from some of the most respected names in the genre, relatively unknown newcomer Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet could be my favourite of the lot. It’s incredibly funny and charming, with a lovely kid’s cartoon feel to it.
