NFS Heat is a disappointment in many ways, just like the other 2 NFS games. in Payback, we were using w a s d and space for driving. We were using space for drifting before, dice made it easy for us. If you double tap on w you can drift now. There is not any driving mechanic. Lets take Forza Horizon 4 as an example. NFS doesnt have to be like forza but this is too bad. Game optimization is bad, tiring the cpu more than other games. Grapichs are under avarage for me. NFS Underground has a better driving mechanic by the way. I Hope NFS gets better.

The choice of cars is very good and the customization is what takes the cake in this game. To sum up, it is not perfect but it's not bad either, therefore i'll give it a 7 out of 10.

In general, the game looks worthy.

Although the story makes no impression, Palm City feels lifeless and the police are sometimes frustratingly powerful, there is a lot of fun to be gained from this game, which offers more than many of the previous parts.

Need For Speed Heat tries hard to be a game for car people with over one hundred vehicles and deep customization features. However, it alienates the genre's biggest fans with an overused storyline, over-the-top arcade physics, and a lack of wheel support.

Payback’ story was really childish and immature, whereas Heat has a more serious and credible storyline. However, it’s way too short and felt ’unfinished’.The gameplay is pretty enjoyable when you get a hang of it. You drive mostly on asphalt roads and very little off-road, which I also consider a great improvement from the last game.The game also look good and runs rather well, in spite of occasional crashes.Heat is a step in the right direction in the NFS franchise.

A playful driving model, plentiful tuning options, a career without microtransactions and an open city changing its whole identity with each dawn and each sunset. The sins of the past are gone, but the game is still way too similar to what you already know.

When Need for Speed: Heat is producing its promised fantasy, it’s a wonderful game which I’m always happy to keep coming back to. Ghost Games have improved their engine and systems to make the city and cars feel better than ever, and Heat’s core gameplay loop is designed to last. Occasionally there are the moments which require suspension of disbelief, and it’s possible for the more misguided elements to build tedium in an otherwise strong entry to the series. Heat is a marked improvement on the last few Need for Speed games, however, and I hope that further refinement will see the series better deliver on its legacy.

Need For Speed Heat has done a fantastic job going back to its routes... with loads of cars, tons of customisation and the feel of two games in one with the day and night cycle. It has a couple of flaws with the police chases but you still find yourself having a fun, intense experience.

When a game is genuinely good, it doesn’t feel like I’m playing it just for the sake of the review. Need for Speed Heat evokes that feeling as I’m simply having too much fun with it. Compared to its obvious role models, it doesn’t ramble all over the place but has a grateful focus to it. The game comfortably speeds along a yellow brick road that goes neatly between calculated appeal of Forza Horizon and the excess abundance of The Crew, and that’s why I liked it better than those two. In fact, I’m afraid that NFS Heat kind of spoils its genre. I need games with a human touch and after this, racing games without this much personality just won’t do anymore

There is fun to be had here, but in light of what else is out in the racing/driving wild these days, leaves Heat eating proverbial dust. There’s no question Ghost is a technically proficient developer (outside of car physics), but too much emphasis on a ‘story’ over more robust driving and driver-agency makes the game feel half complete on one side, and half over done on the other.

Need for Speed Heat feels like a return to form for the franchise. There’s very little new here, but what is here is certainly a crowdpleaser for anyone who has dipped in and out of the 25-year-old racing IP.

Need for Speed Heat is far from the revival of the series which fans have hoped for, and makes you wonder what happened to Criterion. Ghost games did a decent job steering back Need for Speed into safer waters, but it lacks the passion and the visceral fun which made Underground legendary. Need for Speed Heat is a decent game, but not a memorable one.

A cherry on top of the cake that is 25 years of Need for Sped, or yet another 'what could have been'? Need for Speed Heat has the potential te be everything that anyone can ever ask from a Need for Speed-title, yet it makes several strange choices that do not benefit the game. Racing is fun as always, the story is poor and customizing cars makes up for a lot. But a title that celebrates 25 years of Need for Speed? No, not by a long shot.

While far from a perfect comeback, Need For Speed Heat refocuses the franchise on what it does best, and it’s all the better for it.

In the run-up to the test I actually had some concerns about the quality of Need for Speed: Heat. Its direct predecessors from Ghost Games didn't really convince me and also the game play event about a month ago left me with mixed feelings. But the finished game has become surprisingly entertaining. Sure, once again the story is not worth mentioning, the controls reminds of old arcade games and in terms of driving physics and damage model the makers didn't take realism quite so seriously. But if you don't mind that, or if you are looking for exactly that, you'll really enjoy Heat. Otherwise, the title offers everything a car's heart desires: extensive tuning options, action-packed chases and thrilling races - and all this in top graphics.

NFS: Heat is kind of a best-of with the best elements from the previous NFS games, with the addition of day and night races. All of it isn't very innovative, but not less entertaining because of it.

It's clear that Ghost Games has taken a touch of Paradise and applied it to Heat, resulting in a thrilling and beautiful racing game that's bursting with things to do. Though their ambition was bold, they strayed too far from comfort in putting Heat together. When measured up against its own franchise, Heat does a lot to move the series in the right direction and it's a clear, marked improvement over Payback.

Heat does have its problems - but nothing that can't be fixed with a patch. Performance is very good with High Framerate. I love it so far!

Need For Speed Heat is a return to form for the series and the best entry this generation. The racing action is top-shelf and the day to night shift in gameplay focus keeps things fresh.

Need for Speed Heat is an ode to what made this saga great with an installment that retrieves its foundations to combine them with a clear inspiration from the Forza Horizon saga bringing us one of the most complete and entertaining arcade driving games of the generation with stunning visuals.
