This issue is in game and makes it unplayable for me. I couldn't get into it because the controls are so bad.

You will fall in love with Ghostwire Tokyo's visuals. The way Tango Gameworks designed the city of Tokyo and the ghosts that wander around it is amazing. And gameplay is pretty fun too. But, if you compare it to some of the main releases of the year, it is not enough. Maybe because the developers did not have time to create something really unique. This is a good game, but it could/should have been a great one.

I was sceptical about this game before getting it because I didn‘t really know what to expect. It‘s a proper next gen title, there are not many of these out so far but you notice it in every second that this game was developed for next gen. Looks amazing, fantastic use of the haptic feedback on the Dualsense and delivers an amazing, creepy atmosphere throughout the whole game.Only complain I have about this game: I was playing on performance mode and it couldn‘t hold a consistent 60 fps unfortunately. Most of the time the fps feel like they‘re 40-50. If that doesn‘t bother you, I can only recommend buying this game.

The unique setting really helps to lift Ghostwire: Tokyo from myriad of problems such as a plain open-world design and lackluster combat. If you love Japan and mystical powers, then Ghostwire can be just the game you're looking for.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is not a bad game by any standard. It's pretty, it's fun, and it follows a formula that has proven to be successful even if it's overdone by this point. As I played through it for this review I found myself alternating between enjoying myself and being frustrated with its shortcomings. There is a potentially brilliant horror/detective game buried under all the superfluous side quests and pointless collectibles, and each time I caught a glimpse of it, I find myself wondering about what could have been.

It's like an indie game with a good Tokyo city. They managed to make a really bad game with ordinary action sequences and a boring story.

Very cool creature and boss designs, just as in The Evil Within, very creative. I haven't finished it yet, but after 7 hours of gameplay i can easily recommend it, if you are looking for something unique to play.

Ghostwire: Tokyo isn’t bad or broken. It’s just a game that’s not particularly ambitious and almost feels at odds with itself, leaving it with a lot of wasted potential. It might yield a couple of interesting online searches if you’re uninitiated in Japanese folklore, and you can pet lots of dogs and cats, but there are ways to go about doing those things without sitting through Akito’s snoozefest of a tale.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is an FPS that could have only been delivered by a Japanese studio. From the main story and side missions to the detailed environments and appealing characters, for those who have been craving a game set in modern Japan, Ghostwire: Tokyo is an extremely satisfying experience. While the battle system can become a bit tedious and controls for healing feel inconvenient, the game deserves credit for delivering action that feels exhilarating without relying on grotesque visuals.

With seamless gameplay and fighting mechanics, 40 hours of exploration will seem like no time has gone by and it will leave you wanting more time running the glistening streets of Shibuya.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is a phenomenal experience through and through, it didn't matter what area of the game I tackled, I found myself having a blast experiencing every single one of them.

It’s a moreish game, and I want to trawl through every inch of this odd facsimile of the capital city, though I hope that Tango Gameworks rolls out an accessibility settings update to allow even more fans to enjoy this glittery and ghostly game.

For those that like the supernatural and action-adventure games you’ll have a great time with Ghostwire Tokyo. If you’re coming into it expecting a terrifying horror experience you’ll be disappointed but there are still moments there that will get under your skin. Bethesda’s PlayStation swan song might not hit all the right notes but it still delivers a melody that’ll be stuck in your head for a while.
