I’ve played many sport games in my lifetime and this has been the most frustrating online sport/racing experience of my life. not to mention the fact that after almost a year of playing the game weekly, a patch came out about a month ago and conpletepy erased all in game progress and setups i worked hard on and was forced to start from scratch. It's unfinished and should NOT have been released. At all.Firstly, 3 of the tracks from the 2021 FIA Formula 1 World Championship were not in the game at launch, and 2 of the tracks that had updates irl were the same as in 2020. Not to mention all of the bugs and glitches present too (I never experienced these, but I've heard about them).The handling in this game is the worst it has ever been. Your car will just slide all the time like it's driving over ice, kerbs spin you out ALL the time, it's horrible.Codemasters have made the biggest mistake ever by letting that greedy, disgusting, evil, excuse of a company known as 'EA' purchase them. EA deserve nothing whatsoever to do with F1 or ANY racing game, or just anything to do with gaming altogether. If F1 2022 turns out the same, I will never buy another F1 game ever again, and I say that as a die-hard F1 fan. Screw you EA and everyone who works for you.

Obviously the game had some issues at first, since the racer stats were still to be implemented into the game, but that's in the past. The game modes are really detailed, down to car preparation and all of that. What could have used a bit more of work is the presentation. In-game music and UI could have been better. To those who complain about penalizations, do you even know the F1 rules? It's not a demolition derby game, buddy.

At first glance, this year’s installment of the Codemasters’ Formula 1 franchise might seem very similar to the game we played 12 months ago. However, the improved driving model and the revamped, more engaging story mode make F1 2021 a significant step forward and the best game in the series.

Getting rid of the classic cars that altough it wasn't a feature many used frequently it was good to know it was there, they even had the chance to replace them with last years models that are present in the game via braking point and despite doing it in previous titles (2015 to be precise) codies chose not to for some unkown reason. The brand new story mode that looked great on paper failed to catch my attention, the cgi and cutscenes are gorgeos but once you hop on the race track is the same as always, either finish P something or above or drive to the finish line with (insert random mechanic failure). F1 2021 is a good game but fails to be better than their predecesors, turning it into an ok game at best.

I appreciate F1 2021 for its experimentation with new modes and options, proving that this franchise is much more than the average annual drivers’ update. Not only does driving feel more realistic than ever, 2021’s story mode is a pleasant surprise that I hope attracts further development for the series’ next iteration. For now, though, it remains a great F1 simulator that will generate the same excitement happening in the real world’s F1 competition right now.

F1 2021 is not the great evolution or the step forward that we expected. The reasons are in plain sight and neither the context nor what happens depends on Codemasters.

F1 2021 is one of the best F1 games to date, with a fun little story mode in the form of Braking Point, also presenting a great co-op driving career mode, and marking the return of the extremely detailed and fun My Team mode. The only drawbacks it has are its severely smaller amount of content than the 2020 edition, and occasional server problems.

The Breaking Point narrative mode allows the player to join races while feeling like they’re the lead in a Hollywood movie. That being said, the mode’s story is linear and your racing efforts don’t necessarily have an effect on its scenario. While the career mode is as well made as always, if you’ve played the series before, there’s just not enough to make the experience feel fresh again.

Once again, F1 manages to be just a bit better in all the key areas. And, for the first time, there’s a documentary movie-inspired career mode that takes you right into the Formula 1 backstage. Overall, I guarantee you’ll spend dozens of hours on those circuits.

‘F1 2021’ builds on the solid foundation of its predecessors and has retained their strengths. The sense of speed is phenomenal, and thanks to the many driving aids, both a beginner, a seasoned simulation racer and everyone in between will find plenty of challenge on the track. The game also takes advantage of the powerful hardware of the latest Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X, thereby also eliminating one of its biggest shortcomings: the miserably long loading times between races are a thing of the past.

It hasn't moved far visually from last year's effort but the package F1 2021 is offering is substantial. Braking Point provides a daft narrative diversion that might offer new players a gateway into the sport. For the rest of us, career mode remains largely the same with plenty of time to be spent chasing the front of the grid. The handling feels consistent and the racing is compelling, although the AI does seem to lack a little pace. The DualSense offers some welcome additional feedback, although I did find initially the adaptive triggers off-putting.

Another stellar sim that isn’t quite asassured on PS5 as you might hope. But storymode is worth playing and career mode isthe best in the business.

F1 2021 is one of the best editions of the saga. It’s a solid game, with impressive graphics at 4K/60 fps and outstanding sound effects that try to transport us to a TV race. All of that is joined with a robust gameplay that adapts to every kind of player and a huge variety of game modes for single player and multiplayer.

They are always in front of your eyes and see their wear and tear normal wear and tear similar to what in real life is what people need. And now the wear is almost not visible, there is almost no visual difference between a new tire and a completely worn one. And I would like to return the rubber worms (pieces of rubber) in the corners as it was in f1 2016. Why they were removed then is unclear. They had a very good influence on realism. All this needs to be corrected once you raise the price of the game. It must match the price. And so it's not bad.

F1 2021 has undeniably struggled with COVID and the limitations it has put on both the sport and the game. However, either despite or because of these limitations, this manages a step forward that the series failed to take two years ago, it brings a genuine story to the game. Braking Point is an undeniable success and, one would hope, marks a starting point in which Codemasters can advance as the series moves forward. Beyond this new mode, almost every aspect has been polished to a diamond-like shine, with the only aspects needing improvement are the MyTeam mode, which already looks lacking as a story of progression when compared to Braking Point, and the poor AI in team management. Despite this minor issue, there's no doubt in my mind that this is the best of the franchise so far and a great launching point to the next generation.

The new game has applied a generous amount of polish to the things that it carried forward, and the new modes, such as Braking Point and the two-player career mode, add some appreciable entertainment to a solid racing game. It is equally enjoyable to an F1 nut as to someone who is entering the sport fandom, and I have been having a great time whenever I fire it up for a few laps.

Perhaps the most important thing about F1 2021 is that Codemasters has not messed with the actual mechanics of driving the cars, beyond tweaks necessary for the 2021-spec cars. With a good force-feedback wheel, the cars are engaging to drive, and you can feel subtleties in cars from different teams—a McLaren handles differently from an Alpine, a Red Bull, or a Mercedes. If you're a fan of the sport, you'll probably enjoy F1 2021.

Yes, it would have been nice to see Codemasters go deeper with their Braking Point story, yet it's extremely tricky to find anything too critical of what they've produced with F1 2021. After honing their skills with some glorious F1 racing experiences over the years, once again the latest edition manages to be the finest yet and should be the go-to racer for any fanatics of the sport.

An excellent game on the track that presents Braking Point, its story mode, as a great novelty, and becomes the worst section of the whole title. If the idea is to keep this new mode, there is a lot of work to do. At the moment, it tastes like a precooked story, made in a hurry and without affection. Nothing to do with the rest of the proposals, which introduce us fully in the F1 world. If you come for the races, it is a spectacular videogame, but if you come for the story mode, be cautious.

Much of F1 2021 builds on the high-class foundation from previous games that make the series one of the best racing games out there, but new additions, especially Braking Point, are both great pieces of content on their own and optimistic foundational pieces for the future.

There either isn’t enough focus on the story to engage you or the racing focus is held back by the unattainable challenges and grind that comes with progressing. My Team is largely the same and if you paid more for the legendary drivers, you’ll be selecting one of those seven as a teammate at a time and won’t be using them in any other mode. The removal of Classic Mode and the ability to race as a current F1 driver in any mode outside of Grand Prix is disheartening and the fact that this information wasn’t made readily available to potential buyers isn’t good. Hopefully the issues with the AI can be patched as the actual racing and car physics are still excellent. There was a lot of opportunity for F1 2021, and on top of three circuits on this year’s calendar not being readily available for launch, there’s a lot left on the table for the current generation premiere of the series.

While it's a shame that classic cars have been nixed this year, F1 2021 is nonetheless an exhilarating racing game brimming with compelling modes and customisation features, as well as the new Braking Point story mode, for countless hours of wheel-to-wheel action. Another sterling effort from Codemasters, racing games don't really come much better than this.

F1 2021 is the best-looking and most customisable instalment of the long-running Codemasters series to date, and the ability to tinker under the hood of the core career experience and play co-op with a friend is very welcome. With the addition of Braking Point it’s also arguably the boldest F1 game so far. The characterisation is a little underdone and the E for Everyone approach means it’s quite an airbrushed take on the F1 world compared to Netflix’s tense and profanity-laden Drive to Survive, but injecting a story mode into the F1 series was a risk well worth taking and I’m certainly looking forward to more of it.

F1 2021 is the complete package. Braking Point is an excellent single-player experience, driving is perfection, and there's so much to do. It really does have everything, regardless of whether you are a fan of the sport or not.
