The game itself is a decent action game and kept me entertained until the end. There are a few different melee and ranged weapon options, special combos you unlock, etc. Deadpool fans will enjoy the references and the different characters from the Marvel universe. People who aren't as familiar with the Deadpool series will probably still enjoy the crude humour and a lot of the Easter Eggs. The only real issue I had with the game is it occasionally would have split second freezes/lag which would cause problems with certain platforming and fight areas. From what I have read this is a fairly common issue and it is disappointing it was never patched, I probably would have went with a 7.5/10 if it didn't have that problem.For the $10-$20 it costs I would still recommend it even with the lag issues though.

The melee combat is pretty standard, but there were too many times when I got overwhelmed and could tell where attacks were coming from. For the most part there are generous checkpoints, but the end is infuriating. Its such a long drawn our battle that I had to replay countless times before getting to the sub-boss fight. That's a confusing mess with way to powerful attacks coming from seemingly everywhere. Also, to all developers out there, please put the checkpoint AFTER the cut-scene. No one wants to re-watch the same thing after dying the 15th time.Overall it is a good time. I just wish they polished the gameplay a bit, because they clearly put a lot of time into the comedy.

There's a wide variety of combos and weapons and you'll need to constantly be on your toes to adapt to all of the new things they throw at you. However there are some technical issues. There are some points where the framerate does suffer and even when it's not, the general flow of the game, namely between attacks or during platforming, can feel awkward. Aside from those occasional frame drops, I haven't encountered a single bug.The humor, if you're into low-brow poop, dick and fart jokes are well done. Again, well done for poop, dick and fart jokes.In summary, it's ok. Nothing phenomenal for the character action genre, but an ejoyable, semi-replayable romp nonetheless.

While Deadpool certainly isn't as bad as other comic book fare on the market, it feels somewhat average with its rushed treatment on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Had the developers added better visual details and made it much cheaper, we'd be talking a great value here. As it stands, though, only serious comic book fans or those looking for mindless action should invest. Others can easily wait for the movie and stuff themselves silly with tacos.

Deadpool returns with pretty much the same adventure we played on the old consoles. It has some nice moments, but this is a wasted opportunity to fix the errors of the original and improve many of its aspects.

No improvements whatsoever from the game we saw on PS3 and Xbox 360. Thus, Deadpool is a simple, derivative action game at its core, but it stands out thanks to its humour and lovable main character. Lovable? Well, you know what we mean.

A generic action game that can be really funny at times (if boob jokes are your type if humour) and has some enjoyable moments. If you’re a Deadpool fan and you find this game at a discount price or borrow it from a friend, I will not discourage you form playing it. Otherwise – meh.

The combat is a bit of a bust, don't get your hopes high, but the storyline, the humour and the voice acting more than make up for it.

Although, the game overall was not a letdown, as I got exactly what I expected, with a story told like some crazy paradox by a character you can’t help but enjoy.

It’s played safe, and although its jokes might make one playthrough worthwhile even they struggle to maintain the interest of a game severely lacking the nuance and depth of its contemporaries.

Anyway, if you want a hacky-slashy title that mocks videogame and comic conventions and never takes itself seriously then Deadpool is for you.

Deadpool is fun. I cannot stress enough how much I value an entertaining experience, which is what High Moon delivers here. Fans of the character will love it, and if you are like me and are only vaguely familiar, the tropes and meta humor carry it through the brief campaign.
