Conan Unconquered is too empty and lifeless, not to mention unoriginal. It feels like a mod rather than a full-fledged game from an experienced studio.

A tower defense game combines with classic RTS feelings. Conan Unconquered does not look so attractive nowadays, it needs more enlightened ideas to impress gamers.

The game did not hook me and honestly does not do a good job in teaching you the game mechanics. However, once you push through that point, I think you will find the game very entertaining and I quite like the challenge it presents.The Good: In-Depth Skill tree, music, sound and gameplay that features co-op play.The Bad: No campaign or story, complicated skill tree, takes longer than normal to figure this game out.Most people who put in too little time I could see walking away unimpressed. However just like anything, once you start to do something well, that's when things get fun and Conan Unconquered is no different.

Conan Unconquered’s slow-moving economy that always seems to lag behind the relentless waves of enemies is frustrating and the fact that there are only two playable heroes — a third is available behind a paywall at launch — and no story or campaign make the game feel like it’s incomplete or at the very least a meager package for the price. Coupled with the repetitious nature of the environments and matches, the uninspired voice work and shallow gameplay, Conan Unconquered is a disappointing hybrid of RTS and tower defense that squanders the Conan brand once again.

However this is exactly the game someone like me wants. If you like Peteroglyph games then you will like this game. This appeals to a specific audience of people and you really have to already feel like you want this game before getting it. If you read other reviews and it puts you off then you may not be the type of person who will want this game.

A scrappy and bloody brilliant strategy game that builds further upon the idea of survival strategy, Conan Unconquered doesn’t stray too far from its primary influence but it does offer plenty of unique substance that gives it its very own flavour. Now that, is what is best in life.
