Resumo
Battle Academy é um jogo de estratégia táctica cheio de acção onde se tem de assumir o comando de um grupo seleccionado de unidades e liderá-las em batalhas nas muitas frentes diferentes da Segunda Guerra Mundial. Como comandante, terá de empregar tácticas de armas combinadas do mundo real, a fim de garantir a vitória. Isto significa que terá de lançar emboscadas para surpreender forças adversárias, usar fogo de repressão para as prender, flanquear armaduras hostis para obter o máximo efeito e, se necessário, atacar o inimigo para limpar pontos fortes. Em alguns casos, terá também acesso a artilharia poderosa fora do mapa e apoio aéreo com a capacidade de enfraquecer as defesas inimigas ou mesmo parar um ataque inimigo morto no seu rasto. Ao mesmo tempo, terá de prestar muita atenção ao moral das suas próprias tropas e utilizar unidades de reconhecimento para detectar quaisquer emboscadas hostis ou ataques de flanco.

Overall, it just feels too casual, too cartoony. On a tablet that can be forgiven, but as a PC game it seems more than a little limiting.

I also liked the comic book storytelling in between missions.

At last a game that teaches you strategy while steadily amping up the difficulty level. The graphics are surprisingly detailed yet fun at the same time. There is a huge variety of missions especially if you get the complete pack. There is enough complexity to also keep more experienced wargamers interested. I was really surprised at how good this game is. My only negative would be the rather steep price especially for the complete game, given the fact that for all intents and purposes it is a souped up Ipad port. However it is done really well and if you are willing to shell out you won't be disappointed and are in for hours of replayable fun!
