Resumo
O Homicídio Dramático é ambientado num futuro próximo na ilha fictícia de Midorijima (碧島), Japão. Em algum momento da história recente do jogo, a ilha foi privatizada pelo poderoso Toue Konzern (東江コンツェルン, Tōe Kontserun) e transformada num resort chamado Platinum Jail (プラチナ・ジェイル, Purachina Jeiru), sendo os residentes originais da ilha obrigados a viver no Antigo Distrito Residencial (旧住民区, Kyū-_Jūmin-ku). Aoba Seragaki vive na ilha e trabalha numa loja chamada Junk Shop Mediocrity (平凡, Heibon), na esperança de viver uma vida simples. Contudo, após ter sido arrastada à força para o popular jogo cibernético Rima (ライム, Raimu) com o seu mundo virtual e a sua utilização de Allmates (オールメイト, Ōru Meito), dispositivos móveis que normalmente aparecem como se fossem os animais de estimação do proprietário, e ouvir rumores sobre desaparecimentos envolvendo Ribstiez (リブスティーズ, Ribusutīzu), guerras de relva entre grupos, tudo isto semblante de uma vida pacífica para Aoba termina.

Years after I first played it, DRAMAtical Murder remains one of the most gorgeous visual novels, with striking character and set designs, dynamic art direction, and attention to even small details in the UI. The soundtrack, particularly the OP and ending songs, are incredibly catchy. I fall in love with the characters more every time I replay it, and even though the plot has some weak points, it’s still an intriguing exploration of themes of humanity, technology, and identity. Highly recommended for fans of boys’ love, of course, but I think many visual novel lovers would enjoy it.
