South Park: The Fractured But Whole

Know somebody who might be like this game?

Summary

Players will once again assume the role of the New Kid, and join South Park favorites Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman in a new hilarious and outrageous adventure. This time, players will delve into the crime-ridden underbelly of South Park with Coon and Friends.

This dedicated group of crime fighters was formed by Eric Cartman whose superhero alter-ego, The Coon, is half man, half raccoon. As the New Kid, players will join Mysterion, Toolshed, Human Kite, Mosquito, Mint Berry Crunch and a host of others to battle the forces of evil while Coon strives to make his team the most beloved superheroes in history.

Storyline

After the events of South Park: The Stick of Truth, the children of South Park become role-playing superheroes. However, a falling-out over Cartman's planned film franchise splinters the boys split into two groups, with some calling for a civil war to make their own franchise. The player again controls The New Kid, though they can now change his gender to female if they wish.

I had this on Ps4 but just never got around to finishing it. For some reason the switch just is so much easier and accessible for a longer game like this.I ended up 100% everything in this game and absolutely enjoyed my entire time doing it. Nothing ever felt inaccessible and even the collectibles felt fun to find and never too crazily hidden so I didn't need a guide to find it.The performance was excellent, only issue is, all the loading screens, although short, they were frequent. Luckily the switch could handle a loading screen quickly but this game really needed to find a way to implement fast travel better because it was annoying. The fast travel system was so inconvenient that I sometimes would just not use it because it was faster to avoid loading screens. The DLC and the main game took me around 50 hours to finish everything. I felt like the pacing was absolutely perfect, i never felt a moment of downtime or a lull. The story also was just bonkers, i absolutely loved all the call backs to the show and references. It definitely was made for people who seen every episode and can appreciate the Fandom of it all.The plot went to such funny places that I could not put this down. I would play on the dock too because it was enjoyable if someone else watches with you, it's not a game with long periods of mindless gameplay as it kept the entertainment at a constant so even backseat gamers could enjoy just watching you play. Overall this was excellent.

Like the first one, the side quests were very fun to do, and you have a lot to explore in this South Park universe.Positive things ;+ Fun story / side quest+ The combat system are better+ Achievements are fun to doMehh things ;~ Story could of been a bit better if we compare with the first one

In myThere is an opinion going around that the first game is better than the second. This put me off playing this gem for quite awhile. In my subjective opinion, the second offering is far superior. The first game has the novelty factor and perhaps funnier but, and this is a big but, the second game is much, much bigger and offers far more depth. It took me some time to get used to it - I preferred the weapon/upgrade system of the first game - but once you get your heard around it then it is OK. Simply put. there is far more to do in this game and strategic combat is far superior to the first game. It was challenging at times. Definitely a must for the SP fans. A bit too much toilet humour, but hey, cannot have everything. Looking forward to number three.
