Townsmen: A Kingdom Rebuilt is a fine experience to check out for those who wish to dabble in the fun and thoughtful process of setting up supply lines. While completing and overseeing a thriving supply line is quite a fulfilling process, and resource production becomes an automatic system, this is all that this seems to have going for it. Beyond ensuring that the cogs keep turning, there is a real lack of drive or motivation to keep progressing beyond keeping bandits and avalanches at bay. Despite the deep system that underlies the kingdom-building aspects, it's still missing a few ingredients that could've elevated this experience. However, for those searching for a new resource-management city-builder set in the medieval ages, this title is worth considering.

Townsmen - A Kingdom Rebuilt is a decent console project with some structural problems that may risk to ruin the experience. HandyGames has the skills to do something more in future.

All in all Townsmen – A Kingdom Rebuilt is a solid playing and nice looking medieval building sim which is fun to play, without feeling too overburdened with menus and otherwise awkward setups. It can get a little taxing at points, but this little hiccups rarely put a downer on things for too long.

Townsmen – A Kingdom Rebuilt on the Xbox One looks like a simple city builder with its cutesy and warming art style. But there can be a lot of depth also, especially if you go looking for it.

Townsmen - A Kingdom Rebuilt is a Town-Building Resource Management Simulator with a Midevil setting. This is also a rebuild of Townsmen fromTownsmen - A Kingdom Rebuilt is a Town-Building Resource Management Simulator with a Midevil setting. This is also a rebuild of Townsmen from 2016. If you've ever played a Midevil Town Management Sim, you'll feel like you've done this before, as Townsmen doesn't bring much new to the table. The game is a 2D Isometric overview with only one available angle, making for a few moments of visibility issues, but nothing to detract from gameplay. It features a six-chapter tutorial, a campaign mode, and an endless sandbox mode. Sandbox is where I spent most of my time, as the campaign felt limiting at times, and in the sandbox, you can continue as long as everyone doesn't die. The features the game does shine in are the weather, seasons, and disasters. These all can have enormous effects on your townsfolk, and the productivity of resources. The resource system evolves the larger your town becomes, creating chains of manufacturing to reach end results. For example, to make bread, you need a farm for wheat, wood production, a mill to make flour, and then you can produce bread. Disasters and disease can wipe out a well-established town fast, but being prepared for these instances can keep you moving, as you'll overcome these hardships. Overall this is a great game for people who enjoy maintaining resources, and facing down challenges in the process!
