Summary

"The Titanfall: Expedition DLC introduces three new maps to the Frontier including Runoff, Swampland and War Games."

Storyline

"In the wake of the Battle of Demeter, IMC Expeditionary Forces travel deep into Frontier space to recover from their recent defeat. On an uncharted world, the IMC begin construction of a new fleet operations base, using newly acquired water collection and filtration plants to support the new base. When drainage operations reveal ancient ruins and artifacts of an unknown origin in a nearby swamp, Spyglass activates an archaeological team to investigate the site. To maintain battle readiness at the new base, IMC Pilots use simulation pods to train for anticipated Militia raids, based on lessons learned in Angel City and IMC Airbase Sierra."

What's New?:Well, instead of giving us new customization items which is something that EVERYONE asked for, Respawn gave us 3 new multiplayerWhat's New?:Well, instead of giving us new customization items which is something that EVERYONE asked for, Respawn gave us 3 new multiplayer maps which are well made. War Games is probably my favorite when it comes to design as well as its interesting setting. Taking place in a virtual training simulation is what makes this map unique from your average DLC multiplayer map. Swampland may have a more generic setting as it takes place in a swamp, but it still has great level design along with the added feature of pilots being able to use trees to help with their parkour. Runoff to me is the weakest since its setting is in a dull and generic drainage ditch flanked by dull, rusted facilities. Even its level design isn't all that great. But the biggest problem with this DLC has nothing to do with the maps, but what it's missing. Ever since launch, people have said that they wanted more guns, pilot and titan skins, camos, more perks and equipment, but instead of giving all of this to us. We only get 3 maps. At least they adding some customization items in an upcoming patch which is better than selling it to us via DLC.Verdict:If you have the season pass, you'll enjoy this DLC pack, if you don't have the season pass, then skip this DLC as $9.99 for 3 maps is a major rip-off, regardless of how good the maps are. So just ignore my rating if you don't have the season pass as I'm only grading the DLC for its quality, not for what it's missing.Rating: 8/10

This actually deserves more of a 6/10, due to its crazy price, but the price will probably go down later in a sale. Two great maps and a poor one make Expedition an over-expensive proposition. Respawn also squander a great chance to extend Titanfall’s fiction.
