The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the latest in the The Witcher series (based on the fantasy novels by Andrzej Sapkowski) and the follow up to Assassins of Kings. Set in an open world format from a third person perspective, this action RPG sees you take control of Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster hunter also known as a Witcher. Geralt is on a quest to find his adopted daughter Ciri (no relation to the Apple AI assistant) who’s being hunted by a mystical force called Wild Hunt, who intend to capture her and utilise her significant powers.
Situated in a fantasy world known as the Continent (where humans, elves and monsters co-exist), Geralt must complete missions and side quests on his way to finding his lost daughter. Completing missions will earn Geralt experience points and the more he gains the more powerful he becomes, with the side quests rewarding him with top tier weapons and armour. Accompanied by his trusty steed Roach (not the most glamorous name we know) who can be summoned at any time, he must wield swords, launch crossbows and conjure magical abilities to vanquish his foes.
Wild Hunt has won numerous Game of the Year awards and is now considered one of the best games of all time due to its impressive gameplay, narrative, design, combat, and visuals. And with a massive THIRTY SIX different types of ending (depending on the choices Geralt makes), you’re sure to never get bored of this epic adventure.
