Summary

The Dark Pictures Anthology is a series of standalone, cinematic branching horror games where the decisions you make in the game determine the story you receive. House of Ashes is the third game in the series.

At the end of the Iraq War, Special Forces hunting for weapons of mass destruction unearth something far deadlier. To survive the night below they must forge a brotherhood with their enemies from the world above.

Navigate a subterranean labyrinth and escape the starving creatures that found their new prey to hunt. Play online with a friend or up to 5 friends offline, share your story and cooperate wisely to save your cast.

Storyline

A military unit searching for chemical weapons unearth something far deadlier. In the ruins of a buried Sumerian temple deep beneath the Arabian desert something evil is awakened. Savage and unstoppable, a nest of ancient and unearthly creatures has found a new prey to hunt...

Horrific discoveries and impossible decisions face the unit as they strive to navigate a subterranean labyrinth and escape the terrifying threat. Will they each prioritize their own survival, or put aside their fears and their personal rivalries to fight together as one?

The Movement is ok, when you play with a friend the chars often blocking themselves. The Story is well written. After all, a solid Game.

This was the first title of this series which finally provide a decent amount of horror, which I expect of such a 18+ game. Visually this game is good as usual. Story and nice visuals are the key selling point of this series, since it’s more an interactive movie than a game. For fans of this genre I can recommend this title without doubt.

Also, do the developers know that the Akkadians and all the nearby tribes with whom they have ever contacted or fought are Middle Eastern people in appereance, and not sub-Saharan Africans? In addition, there are many graphical bugs and bad facial animations.
