Such a creative and terrific game. This is no '2D Minecraft', this is a masterpiece that is an extraordinary game. Highly suggest you play it.

With great pixel art, endearing music and lots of retro aspects, terraria will occupy me for years to come. This idea is still fresh and I'm glad somebody didn't shy away from it just because of MineCraft's recent success.

People call it a ripoff of minecraft but i believe that the two are similar but still worlds apart. Terraria offers boatloads more on adventure with a large array of bosses, mobs and events with minecraft having a minuscule amount of this sort of content in comparison. Mine craft has a much more in depth creative content however with the extra dimension allowing for more complicated structures to be made compared to terraria. When you play this amazing game on the verge of its next big update you realise just how different it is from minecraft and how much more engrossing a play through of the game is compared to minecraft. A $10 game i would say be worth much more.

Delve deep into cavernousTerraria on Nintendo Switch, the very world is at your fingertips as you fight for survival, fortune, and glory. Delve deep into cavernous expanses, seek out ever-greater foes to test your mettle in combat, or construct your own city – In the World of Terraria, the choice is yours! Blending elements of classic action games with the freedom of sandbox-style creativity, Terraria is a unique gaming experience where both the journey and the destination are as unique as the players themselves! The first thing I noticed was that I missed the keyboard and mouse. This may be due to me being a big Terraria fan on the PC. This is a game that works better in handheld mode, as the touchscreen has been utilized perfectly.Though the touchscreen may not be as useful for more precise building and mining. When using fingers, a magnifying glass will appear to help be more precise. I found I ended up switching between touch and joycons. But the gameplay and core game mechanics are the same, and its still a lot of fun.Overall the gameplay is still the same as on other console versions. You can move around and mine. The story and feel of the game are all still there. The added benefit of the touchscreen makes it a lot easier to play then on PS4 or XBOX.Currently, Terraria only supports multiplayer through Nintendo online, and not local split-screen. Though we have been promised this is on the horizon. The version released on the Switch is the 126.96.36.199 version, which is behind the console version of 1.3.1. Both are far behind the PC version of 1.4.This is a fantastic time waster game. With side-scrolling, touchscreen, building and digging, all in all, a fun game to play.
