The game is graphically gorgeous, from dense jungles to dried-out coral reefs, the game has this almost-cutesy art style to it. I really enjoy the slime's AI, it's almost as if they're actual creatures. The soundtrack is amazing, perfectly describes working on a ranch, or in this case, an interstellar planet. The only gripe I have with this specific version is the frame rate. The game is very poorly optimized for Xbox and other consoles, chugging when entities are present, almost feeling like the cutest little slide show. If or when the framerate is optimized for console versions, my score will go up to a 10, because that's what this game deserves, but sadly, console players deserve equal rights too.

The Graphics are decent and there are little glitches and issues in the game. Unlikely that I'll ever revisit this one.

Slime Rancher has the ability to keep you hooked for hours; I often looked out over my ranch, felt pride at my accomplishments, and eagerly ventured back into the wilderness to see what other strange things I could find.

For me this game is a delight to play, and will likely remain as one of those games i consistantly come back to.(crossing my fingers for some features to make a slime more like a pet)

This makes me even more exited especially if they add more automation, slimes with tougher requirements and greater exploration/more worlds and most importantly, customization. That is the one thing that this game is lacking and would make new save files relevant. Another thing that would improve this game's longevity is more specialization meaning you have to commit to slime types and can have a variety of mutually exclusive perks that can make you even more likely to start a 2nd time over. Overall this game is a bit away from a 9 but improve if the devs keep their promise.
