After that I cant vouch for whoever is running the development anymore simcity society and simcity buildit were just horrible. Yet again thanks to steam Im able to enjoy simcity 4 all over. It's a game you must try if you enjoy sandbox style games.

SimCity 2000 was a good game because it was simple and intuitive. SimCity 4 is neither of those. The only way I can describe it is to say that it is no longer the game you play when you want to relax and see your plans spring to life before your eyes. Even the controls are difficult to figure out as the game has seemly 100 quick keys and no reference chart. If you want to spend hours clicking through menus just to undo one mistake, then this is the game for you. I'd recommend dusting off a copy of SimCity 2000.

I am a big fan of the SimCity games, and I remember first playing this back at release in 2003 and enjoying it immensely. However on my current PC the game is randomly crashing and I havent' been able to fix it up as yet, so i guess I will have to wait for my next dose of SimCity nostalgia :(
