Know somebody who might be like this game?

With the last two instalments taking on a more all-action approach, Resident Evil 7 returns to its survival horror roots and the fans couldn’t be happier. For the first time in the series Resident Evil 7 uses a first-person perspective and it only adds to the intense gameplay. You take control of Ethan Winters who’s travelled to Dulvey in Louisiana after receiving a message from his wife Mia, who’s been presumed dead for three years. He’s drawn to a derelict plantation where he must battle the cannibalistic Baker family and rescue his beloved. But is all as it seems?

Ethan is no soldier but he knows his way around a weapon (think we’d all learn pretty fast if we were being chased by flesh eating crazies)! At his disposal he’s got handguns, shotguns, flamethrowers, explosives and the old favourite for fighting off cannibals, the trusty chainsaw! However you’ll have to use stealth and cunning too if you’re going to defeat the evil Bakers. Knowing when to run and hide is just as important as knowing when to go in all guns blazing.

The audio and visuals of Resident Evil 7 are up there with the best. The eerie sound effects and creepy music (that gets more intense as the danger mounts) is complimented with great voice acting and a horrifyingly accurate depiction of an abandoned plantation. If you’ve got a PS4 and VR headset you can actually step inside the terrifying world yourself. You just probably won’t be able to sleep for a week after!
