Summary

Fix Time Before It Destroys Everything!

When time breaks, catastrophe becomes your playground. As hero Jack Joyce, you'll fight your way through epic disasters that stutter back and forth in time. But surviving this unstable world--and halting the end of time itself--is only possible by mastering your new time powers.

Released for Xbox One and as a Windows 10 exclusive on April 5th, 2016. Released Steam on September 14th, 2016.

Storyline

"Time has been broken. A Fracture in time, created by a time travel experiment that has gone wrong, is advancing at an inexorable pace. As a result, time itself is now stuttering to a halt and then restarting, causing the world to turn into a frozen tableau. Most are unaware of the imminent disaster.

Jack Joyce is not one of these people: changed by the same experiment, he can see the damage as the Fracture advances; time keeps slipping more and more out of joint and as the world loses synchronization, destruction on a massive scale ensues. Jack is desperately trying to find a way to prevent the Fracture from reaching its conclusion – that final moment when the last grain of sand in the hourglass tumbles down, and time ends. But his best friend Paul Serene and the ruthless Monarch Solutions have their own plans, and Jack’s efforts don’t line up with them. They are willing to use whatever means necessary to stop him."

Quantum Break is a fantastic story that plays out like a movie, with excellent game play and exceptional acting. The separations of gameplayQuantum Break is a fantastic story that plays out like a movie, with excellent game play and exceptional acting. The separations of gameplay with the motion picture type segments made for an enjoyable experience that made this game both unique and compelling. The graphics are superb. The capturing of the phenomenon of time fractures/stutters was done very well. The movement and interactions, as well as character models came of as realistic and immersive. The gameplay was smooth. I had no game breaking bugs, and only once had one issue, where I had to find a coward bad guy hiding, which was keeping me from progressing. Aside from that one moment, the entire game was smooth and essentially flawless. The controls were easy to learn. I had no trouble using the skills of Jack, and found the difficulty level progressed very nicely with the advancing skills. The story of Quantum Break is a captivating and well written adventure. I found myself compelled to not only finish the game, but to try different paths, to see the variable of outcomes that were included. The included collectibles in the game are worth finding, and add a lot of background to the story, which gave amazing depth. This video game did an exceptional accomplishment of written story, cinematic presentation, and video game experience combined. This is a game I recommend everyone to take the time to experience, and I hope that I can come across many more games like this in the future. A top notch experience that makes video gaming more entertaining on a whole new level.

It is only worth a sale price. It has ok gameplay, but definitely has some issues. It still has quite a few bugs and in the 15-hour playthrough, it crashed numerous times. The cover system and gunplay was ok at best. You push through it for story. The story itself was enjoyable and live action stuff was passable. I would've just preferred more interspersed in-game cinematics though. The story does an actual good job with time travel but I won't spoil the details. It adhered to how we think differences would work between changing the past and the future.

Yet another well done Remedy shooter, but I rather play the game than watch looong videos, even though they are pretty well done.

Quantum Break is a great game from start to finish, and playing it with all the benefits of being on PC just make it that much better. Given that this game is coming out at a lower price point on PC as well, there's just not excuse not to get it.
