Finished the game recently and in all honesty, Its not as bad as people make it out to be. Personally, I’m a very Casual gamer rather than a Competitive one. The game offers little to no competition nor skill required whatsoever. Which really makes it a fun way to just explore and traverse the beautifully done setting. In terms of fighting mechanics, it leaves a lot to be desired. Considering how little the variety of the moves are and the one button combos that has the power to defeat all non boss enemies in one complete combo. As an open world game, definitely dont expect it to be GTA V or Spiderman PS4 level or you definitely will be disappointed. Give the game a chance with an open mind and you might enjoy it just as much as I have. Definitely a Flawed Execution but the enjoyment I have gained from this game was quite remarkable.

The semi-realistic terrains look stylish. The character models also look pretty good. The story is also solid. It feels like watching one of the One Piece movies.Gameplay: sadly though the gameplay is the jankiest part of the experience. For one, Luffy feels tanky in the way he controls. At first this was really annoying to me, but you get used to it after playing a while, but it still does not feel ideal. If you buy this game you are doing it for the story most likely. There is a lack of post-game content. I would know because after finishing the game I was going for a 100% completion (since it did not seem like it would take too much effort to do). The worst part is that I could never get specific characters to spawn in the world. This halted me from 100% the game because there are acchievments that require you to battle specific boss characters multiple times.Final thoughts: for One Piece fans this is for you. If you enjoy the movies and for some reason want to play through a story simliar to those then you might enjoy this. If you are not a fan of One Piece then you might find some fun here, but I do not recommend.

Even with One Piece: World Seeker's problems it can be fun to play once you get into the main story missions. The cutscenes are entertaining and the game has good character dialogue. It starts to get more interesting once more characters are introduced. Fans of the One Piece franchise will most likely enjoy the game for what it is much more than I did, but I don't see how you can ignore the gameplay flaws. The game really needs more options for exploration and more to do in its environments.
