The others sometime feel like they just ''add'' random part to make the game longer instead of make the game like the movie. The open world is very charming and the sidequests are very fun to do.Positive things ;+ Very fun missions and side quests+ The open world is incredible+ Very fun to get the 100%, now I will do the 360 one tooNegative things ;- It's only the first and second movie.

I know that this isn't an official sequel to LEGO Lord of the Rings but I think it is fair to treat this game as such. And when compared to LEGO LOTR, LEGO Hobbit feels just a little worse.Few new mechanics were added. Super simple puzzles for building object seems like a good addition. While quick-time events may be nothing new in gaming and are not considered a great thing, these few scenes (especially dancing dwarves in Bilbo's house) using QTE are super fun. Characters also now have little circles underneath to indicate which player is controlling which character. Apart from that - nothing has changed. We still have this open world filled with fetch quests and collectibles that are so fun to explore. Little breadcrumbs bricks are leading us from one story level to another and it is a great thing to re-visit these lands of bricked Middle-earth once again.One thing that I hate is a decision to make the game out of just two films from the trilogy. They could have waited that one year or release it as a DLC. -1 to the total score for that.Anyway, I had a lot of fun playing this game. Finishing it 100% feels just great and rewarding. There is something pleasing and relaxing to play it with my wife after a hard day at work.

It should have been there. Perhaps because there wasn't much on the pipeline since marvel was released last year.Still though I would have given it a solid 8.5 for it's unique take on gathering ore/etc to build the items you need. I Own every Lego game and can't wait to see what they do with Jurassic World and the next Marvel: Avengers compilation.

Before I feel the repercussions of what I just said, let me start of by declaring that I LOVE the Lego series, and what they have brought to games. Lego is an intrinsic part of my childhood that I will never let go of, and because of this, I’ve been a huge fan of the series. However, there may come a time when having too much of a good thing comes true. Ok, we had the Lego Movie in Feb, Lego Marvel Super Heroes in Nov, and the Batman craze before. Is it just me, or does Lego seem to be trying to rush everything just to get to the pot of gold? I feel overwhelmed by these little yellow block men.Graphically speaking, the game is a little improvement (or none at all) over the Lego games of the PS3-era. I feel that they haven’t brought anything new, with the environments being ‘bland’ and blurring into one.The puzzles are still interesting, challenging and best enjoyed with a friend, but unfortunately, I would only recommend this for first-time gamers or a child. Lego’s signature charm, old-school humour and charisma is still ever-present, but for some reason it doesn’t seem to pinch me the way previous games have.The humour is still there, but the repetitiveness of bashing things, collecting gems and Lego blocks may need a re-think. I won’t be going out on a limb here by saying that this is one of the weakest Lego games on the new generation. Old formula is getting old.

Despite not including anything from the third Hobbit movie that could provide a satisfactory ending, Lego The Hobbit has enough content and charm to keep you entertained until the inevitable next Lego game.

The game does a lot of forced replay of battles which gets a little tedious. It is beautiful to look at and the music is great as always but the things the characters say gets really repetative, I sort of miss the silent games of old. The only lego game that really shines with the new talking is the Batman 2 game. The inclusion of the building game that was introduced in the Lego movie game works great and the resource gathering is also fun. Overall the game is good but not great and charging $60 dollars and not including all movies and forcing us to pay more for DLC is not right. I will still buy all Lego games and feel that they are doing a lot of things right but some things could still be improved upon.

Still, it’s an often charming, fun, and light-hearted romp through the LEGO version of Middle-Earth, and it certainly warrants a look.

After the failure of the last LEGO installment, what a thrill to play this one. LEGO : The Hobbit smells like déjà-vu but the receipt is kind of efficient. At this point, criticising a Lego game for being much like the other Lego games feels somewhat pointless. It's tempting, especially after so many, but it's a series that's long been more comfortable changing the wallpaper than rebuilding the entire house, and that's not likely to change any time soon.

It looks great, the gameplay has enough variety to remain interesting and the sampled movie dialogue (and that mesmerising score) add an air of gravitas to the whole shebang. But, it is still just another LEGO game and, as such, does little to make it stand out from its ever-increasing crowd of peers.

LEGO The Hobbit is a well-made game that doesn't break any new ground. Interesting story, atmosphere of the movie and a large world coexist with old gameplay solutions and well known issues. Middle-earth made of bricks has great potential, but the developers apparently don't want to take advantage of it all (yet). Fans of the series and Tolkien worshipers will definitely have fun for many hours, but they won't be amazed.

Lego The Hobbit proves that having plenty of variety in terms of objectives and gameplay mechanics doesn't make much difference if none of those objectives and mechanics are much fun, and that capturing the look of an epic quest isn't the same as capturing the feel of one.

TT Games has maintained a high level of quality on all their Lego titles and Lego The Hobbit is no exception. If you liked the other games - you will like this one.

Lego the Hobbit's succinct storytelling and engrossing world actually added a lot to my appreciation of the fiction. This stands as my favorite adaptation of the book.

The Lego angle honestly works much better in this game than in LEGO: the Lord of the Rings. While the characters aren't as unique in gameplay as the characters in LEGO Marvel, it is still fun to take control of your favorite Tolkien characters. Middle-Earth in open world form makes a return and is still awesome. Collecting, crafting and unlocking weapons which made its first appearance in LEGO LotR is just as good and sometimes better here. You know what you're getting if you've played recent LEGO games, especially LEGO LotR, and thankfully it even improves on what that game did. What we have here is a very familiar game with new characters and some new features and that isn't necessarily bad if you aren't tired of the formula. LEGO: the Hobbit is a great game and one of the very best entries to the franchise.

Sorry but just because some of the optional side-quests can feel repetitive doesn't mean the game gets a horribly low score.All the cool stuff we've come to know and love about Lego adventure games along with some of the best graphics currently available on the next-gen systems.Hobbiton (the shire) feels like you are walking around middle earth with lego characters and objects mixed in.Fans of Tolkien as well as lego fans will love this game.

It's exactly what I expected, for having played them all. but now we have to pay more for bonus content coming soon.

LEGO The Hobbit is a game made specifically for LEGO fans. It would be better if Traveller's Tales and Warner Bros to wait for the last movie instead of rushing this one with a part of it's story missing. There's nothing unexpected about this journey, and that doesn't make it any less enjoyable.
