Yeah, this game is hard. Of you rate it low cuz of that then you clearly stumbled into the wrong game. If you like playing your little baby games on the easiest difficulty, go ahead, but don’t **** on this game for being hard, it was designed to be hard and thats okay. Sure i might not get far sometimes, but that feeling when you get a synergy with a grenade launcher and an item that makes you invincible gives me a rush of dopamine that i cant describe. This game’s pixel art is spectacular, each character being detailed with their limited space. The characters themselves are great, the secret unlockables are so fun and the extra stuff never gets old. The bosses are all so unique and great, and don’t even get me started on the gun variety. If theres a game where half your arsenal is an awful pun then i think somebody made the perfect game. I wouldn’t trade my time with this game for anything, thank you dodgeroll, i never knew how much i needed to play as a sentient bullet with a sword till now.

You have a limited amount of ways to fight which are a dodge roll and a blank. This means you can focus on getting good instead of trying to learn all of the controls. There are absolutely tons of guns. I nearly always find a new gun every playthrough after 15 hours of playing. There's everything from your basic AK 47 to a water gun and Mailbox shooter. That is a feature that makes you want to keep playing. Also every floor in the gungeon has new enemy's you'll encounter that have different attacking patterns you'll need to learn. Theres a shop on every floor that you can buy new guns and charms to help you, with the coins you collect from killing monsters. The bosses at the end of each floor are likely to end your run but are very fun and the climax of that floor. The most important thing about a dungeon crawler I think, is replay value. Enter the Gungeon definitely has that as theres NPCS trapped in the Gungeon you need to save that open shops or help you in your future runs. You can fix an elevator to skip floors and buy new charms and guns to find if there weren't enough already. There may o ly be 5 floors (not including secret ones) in the game but the it takes a while to get there and you'll be finding yourself playing even after you do. A must play game at a relatively cheap price.

Tant que j'y suis, les bruitages sont aussi dégueulasses que le reste et boulottés avec un Bontempi des années 80.En dehors de ça, c'est une daube à farmer au hasard et surtout à recommencer jusqu'à plus soif au vu de la difficulté placée très haut pour appâter le chaland à forte tendance masochiste : une façon de meubler le vide intersidéral de ce non-jeu et pure insulte numérique et pas ludique pour un euro.

This game is very challenging, paired with the random level designs, random enemies, and random boss encounters, makes using trial and error not an option. Sometimes as you enter the next room the enemies are right there ready to greet you with a bullet to the face, other times nobody is home. I never got past the first boss. In the five attempts I encountered Bullet King twice and Gatling Gull thrice. Extra hearts or extra lives and/or quicker reload times would have made this playable for me. I did not play Co-Op mode. Maybe Co-Op mode would have made it enjoyable or easier to play. Someone with more skill and more time could play and score this positively. I wish, I had my money back.For comparison I've finished Axiom Verge in 20 hours, 74% Item, and 92% Map. And Celeste 14 hours without attempting to get strawberries or B-sides.

The wide variety of guns keeps each playthrough feeling fresh, regardless of the character chosen, and the diverse enemy design is sure to keep players on their toes as they force their way through the Gungeon. There are some issues that rise from the randomness of it all, par for the course for a roguelike, but the fluid gameplay, massive weapon cache, and bullet-heavy atmosphere make Enter the Gungeon one incredibly endearing experience.

Enter The Gungeon is nigh-on perfect. The hits are fine, the gunplay is wonderful, the animation and designs are fantastic, and it really needs to be picked up and played by anybody who isn’t looking for something really casual.

Do not waste you ammo on Enter the Gungeon, because hundreds of enemies will cross your path through endless dungeons. With an original aesthetic pixel art, equip yourself with your best weapons to face a frenetic and addictive game rhythm in which the fun is guaranteed.

Despite playing for hours on end I never got particularly good at Enter the Gungeon, but that doesn't mean I didn't thoroughly enjoy my time with it. It's great as a top-down shooter, even if it's just average as a roguelike. Pairing the frustration of bullet hell with the frustration of a random number generator doesn't always yield results, but when the stars align there's just something magical about it.

If you enjoyed any other bullet hell rogue-likes, particularly Nuclear Throne or Binding of Isaac, I can’t recommend Enter the Gungeon enough. It has a few elements that some would consider design flaws, but these are easy to overlook when you step back and look at the whole picture and what is really being offered her: mayhem on a silver platter.

The character and enemy design and animation are top-notch stuff (and those bosses!!).The difficulty is proper Roguelike-hard. It's more like my playthrough of Dungeons of Dredmor than Nuclear Throne: you really need to get to know each enemy and what it does, along with which guns work the best on particular enemies with particular attack patterns. Secrets are all over the place and super-obscure, which I like, but your mileage may vary.The big downside: the RNG is really punishing on Floor 1. While the standard enemies are super easy, it's a huge spike when you hit the first boss. I've never had a problem getting a good set of guns by the time I hit Floor 2 and up, but that first floor can be super difficult because you have either an underpowered new gun or the default weaker one. For chests to open, you need a key. Those keys appear at random. That's the big problem - there's chests everywhere, but sometimes you won't open a single one, and then you're up against a boss who laughs at your standard pistol. Keys need to appear more often. The Convict circumvents this whole problem because she starts with a sawed-off shotgun, by the way.Overall, I'm returning to it, it's a ton of fun, and I hope they clean up just a bit of the infuriating RNG at the beginning of the game.

In fact, the starting weapons are one of the only things I find boring about the game. Getting new weapons is always exciting.Equipping your character is rarely something you get to choose, there's so many items that you're at the mercy of RNG.I find all the bosses to be of roughly the same difficulty level that I've encountered thus far and have been frustrated with exactly 0 of them. Everything they do is in a pattern you can predict, anticipate and dodge. If you screw up, it's on you. The game has not once felt like it cheated me. To top this off, there's an incredible variety in the enemies, it's simply spread out amongst the levels. I suspect greyback never made it past the first to 2nd level.This seems to be a case of someone who's bad at the game blaming the game rather than himself. I've played my share of games that feel like they screw you over, this isn't one of them. The balance is great, the variety is great, the art is great. The only thing that I would point to as being shy of excellent is the soundtrack.I would urge anyone reading to check steam reviews where the general consensus is "overwhelmingly positive".
