Summary

Dragon Marked For Death is a side-scrolling 2D action RPG that can played solo or with up to four players in local or online multiplayer.

The playable characters in Dragon Marked for Death: Frontline Fighters are the Empress and Warrior.

You play as the survivors of the Dragonblood Clan who set out to take revenge on the Kingdom of Medius, who destroyed their home and captured the Dragonblood Oracle, Amica. To obtain the power they need to enact their revenge, they forge a pact with the Astral Dragon Atruum.

Use your newly acquired powers to take on quests from villagers and raise your status in the kingdom. How you perform in these quests can have a direct effect on the game's final outcome.

Quests aren't all about defeating enemies, though. You'll guard a ship's passengers from monsters, search for hidden treasure, rescue a princess from a castle under siege, and a lot more!

Choose from four playable characters (Empress, Warrior, Shinobi, or Witch) and defeat your enemies to gain experience and level up. You'll receive points as you level up that can increase your attack power, defense, agility, and other parameters. Customize your character in a way that best suits your individual playstyle!

Team up with up to four players in co-op multiplayer action via local wireless, or go online with Nintendo Switch Online and use worldwide matchmaking system to play with adventurers all over the world. By strategizing and working together with your party, you'll be able to achieve even greater results and reap even better rewards!

Get ready to experience the unique, dark fantasy world of the Dragonblood Clan in this intense 2D action-RPG!

The connection fluctuates from time to time (possible a P2P connection?). You will see your party players hang somewhere and paused and suddenly teleport ahead of you. This affect the gameplay and hence ruin the fun very much.

This is a type of game that, while experimental for the studio, really represents missed opportunities. Ranging from the extremely limited move set of the characters, lack of any new skills/moves, and a bit too much repetition, it leaves a strong feeling of how much better it could be. A heavy reliance on multiplayer likely dooms this, as the online population is relatively small, and the match-making is atrocious. Sad, as the graphics are great, and it could have been really fun with even a little bit more depth.

Dragon Marked for Death is a game that I'm sure many people will have an easier time getting into now, than if they had attempted to at launch. It's in a much more playable state, and is undoubtedly all the better for it.

Dragon Marked for Death on PC is the best way to play this game since the online infrastructure is far more dependable than its Switch counterpart. However, I don’t think the developers took full advantage of the port and failed to really sell this version of the game. Sure, it has controller support, but I was hoping to find improved framerates and resolution options. So if you’re looking for an addictive 2D action game to play with friends, Dragon Marked for Death has got you covered for many hours.

I have close to 600hours of Dragon Marked for Death on the Switch, so is fair to say I love this game and I know quite a bit about it!TheI have close to 600hours of Dragon Marked for Death on the Switch, so is fair to say I love this game and I know quite a bit about it!The only thing that I can say that is not positive, altought its not a negative, its that this its for everyone...if you dont like griding, repeating the same mission over and over again, this game is not for you!But if thats your thing, this game rocks! It has 6 characters (classes), 2 are brand new, tons of mission, co op up to 4 players and gameplay, oh my god the gameplay is super smooth and the controls super tight and responsive! If you need an easy comparison of what this game is, its a mix of Monster Hunter with Megaman Zero! The only reason I went with a 9 and not 10, is that I feel that INTI missed a perfect opportunity to expan the player base with no cross platform between PC and Switch...the player base will grow but it will be separated, playing the game on 2 different platforms! Who knows maybe in the future?Amazing game!
