Cyberpunk, more like cyberjunk.Like another reviewer said, this game gets very repetitive after a few hours into it. As much as I wantedCyberpunk, more like cyberjunk.Like another reviewer said, this game gets very repetitive after a few hours into it. As much as I wanted to like it, I just got bored after awhile going through the same dungeons, fighting the same enemies and practically using the same rotation of skills.Worse yet, there really isn't a lot of coverage or support for the game. There is a Wiki, but it is very sparse and not much information to be had. The Youtube videos are limited in their scope as it seems that streamers and Youtubers also lost interest in the game. What is good is the art style and aesthetics. The cyberpunk genre always attracts the eye with pink neon lights and futuristic settings. Until it get's to a dungeon, where you can see that seedy and rainy underbelly of a world built on corporate greed and control. Even that get's old after awhile too.Another reason why I gave it a three and not a two is that there is a surprising amount of depth when it comes to developing your characters through upgrading their skills and adding SPU's into your equipment to raise your stats. I was hoping that SPU's would add new skills that would further synergize with others. I wasn't able to find any, so many of the stat upgrades seemed a bit samey.Conglomerate 451 is a game that suffers from a great idea with not enough variance in gameplay to keep players engaged. While the permadeath mechanic does add some excitement and risk, you know that you will end up doing the same thing to do the same thing again. Which takes all the risk out of it, even if it a well developed character. To leave it off on a positive note, I only paid $5.00 for this game with cryptocurrency I mined, so it was, in essence, a freebie for me - a very cyberpunky thing to do.

Conglomerate 451 is an atmospherically impressive cyberpunk dungeon crawler that doesn’t take many risks. Although it is playing safe, it provides the player with a great atmosphere, deep gameplay and some of the best cyberpunk environments to date, despite its repetitiveness and balancing issues.

There’s nothing quite original in the game’s design. Its every feature is just mediocre and I find it hard to imagine the way the developers could infuse more life into the gameplay now.

For me Conglomerate 451 is just the right mix of nostalgia and modern mechanics. There’s the familiar aspects that put me in a happy place, then there are the modern mechanics that mean I can enjoy those reminiscences of old school gaming without feeling like I am bogged down in some of the limitations of those games. I would say for the price, there’s a lot of value here and if you were a fan of Dungeon Crawlers this should be right down your corridor!

Conglomerate 451 has a strong first couple of hours. The story takes place over the course of 75 weeks, a mission for each week. You play the director of a paramilitary organization that's been tasked with destabilizing the rogue corporations which have taken over the district 451 in the city of Conglomerate. Though the setting is a bit heavy-handed, unlike say the original Mirror's Edge, it's not bad, but no one will chalk it up as telling a groundbreaking story in the cyberpunk space.
