Only the beautiful Goal could prevent this. But Goal is stuck with Rufus at the swimming black market, the filthiest dump of Deponia. And her brain implant, where the secret codes for the return to Elysium are saved, is heavily damaged.

Fortunately you can get at the swimming black market almost everything - includes a operation at the brain. But when Goals consciousness get broken into three pieces while the operation, then the chaos is complete:

Rufus needs to bring back all three personality fragments to reason - all this before Goas fiancé Cletus, the Organon, the unorganzed crime or the rebel troops get their fingers on the value consciousness-datasets.
Between duck bills, burning saw blades, anti-gravity socks and torpedo dolphins develops the most bizzarre romance in history of video games. Because Rufus not only needs to save the world, to thwart the plans of the Organon and to cheat himself to the top of two opposing underground organizations - he has to unbold the heart of a woman, whose consciousness is saved on three datasets.
In a nutshell: The destiny of the whole world depends on Rufus' charme and his empathy.

Well...it could have been much worse.

It has interesting puzzles, plenty hilarious moments and memorable characters. Although some puzzles and a lot of item interactions are illogical, but they are used for comical effect and the game itself makes fun of it.The only serious flaw for me is that there are some very mediocre and cringeworthy jokes that spoil overall quiet funny experience.

For those with patience and time for plenty of tongue-in-cheek humour, Chaos on Deponia will prove a more than satisfactory point and click adventure. If you want something a little more serious however then it’s fair to say this isn’t the game for you.

Thankfully Chaos on Deponia can be added to the list of game’s that provide you with that said experience. The most important thing about a point and click adventure is its story and thankfully this game provides you with a very enjoyable and sometimes wacky tale, that has an abundance of humour thrown in for good measure. The voice actors that contribute to the story did a very good job but I did fail to connect with some characters at times, which was a shame. The crux of this game comes down to its puzzles and I must admit that the puzzles were very fun to complete and I appreciated that there weren’t any hidden difficulty spikes that popped up out of nowhere. I will say though that the mini-games weren’t done as well as the main puzzles and in my opinion they weren’t needed in the game. The controls in the game impressed me a great deal and they do a great job of making them feel fluid and responsive throughout, which in turn made the game feel like it belonged on the console. I was hoping that they would have included a run option but that never materialised so expect to get a bit frustrated from time to time. The presentation side of the game ticked a lot of boxes for me and in my opinion it made the game stand out for all the right reasons. Visually the game has a unique cartoony vibe going for it and the accompanying sound design enhances your immersion greatly, which is great. At the end of the day as far as point and click adventures go Chaos on Deponia is a very good addition to the genre. Yes it gets a few things wrong but you forget about this quite quickly because it offers you a decent story that captures your imagination from the get go. If your a fan of the point and click style then you will have a great time with Chaos on Deponia, and in my opinion this game may bring a few more fans to the table which is always great.

Chaos on Deponia will guarantee you a few hours of fun far removed from the usual titles. With a few lines of dialogue and a superb humour, it's a gaming experience that we recommend you even if you like more or less the "Point & Click" genre.
