Aqua Moto Racing Utopia is solid. It’s the Wave Racer 64 of 2018. The game is easy for anyone to pick up and play. Even those who aren’t at all interested in racing will find enjoyment in the game. With a variety of different modes across 10 different tracks and the ability of online and split-screen play, the game includes the right amount of content to justify the price. Aqua Moto Racing Utopia is a game well worth the time and money. Don’t let this game pass you by!

critic reviews are very low rated but despite that the game is fun to play get past some courses easily but other courses and the controls cancritic reviews are very low rated but despite that the game is fun to play get past some courses easily but other courses and the controls can defeat you it gets a little clunky and the AI is beastly good screw up and there on you....once you know the course and have better gear the game is more fun modes tracks are fun mini games are a nice distraction but they should have more arenas for the fun hockey game which is a blastsome tracks if not all were a challenge to me I'm Just lousy at race games but it the fun factormodes are limited and the tracks buoy passing race base system is annoying on some tracks I'm hoping for a buoy free mode so I can enjoy the tracks the handling is similar to wave race but can be awkward...hard to explain but I found fun in this game and my kids love playing it...so recommended if they add more modes fix the AI and add a buoy free mode I'm sure its a must buy for anyone

I must admit that I have a soft spot for water based racing games, but unfortunately there hasn’t been too many of them over recent years soI must admit that I have a soft spot for water based racing games, but unfortunately there hasn’t been too many of them over recent years so as you can imagine I was chomping at the bit to try out Aqua Moto Racing Utopia. Thankfully it does enough to scratch my itch but it does suffer with quite a few problems which ultimately stops it from reaching its full potential. Something that really surprised me about this game though was the amount of content it has. There is a huge amount for you to sink your teeth into and without a doubt you definitely get great value for your money. Speaking about the content it’s actually pretty good most of the time and I was impressed with the amount of variety the boats and the tracks you race on had. I will say though that the game is best enjoyed when played with friends because the AI can be an absolute nuisance at times thanks to the aggressive style that it has. You will also notice a few technichal issues along the way and whilst none of these issues are game-breaking they can still cause you to be frustrated from time to time. This is a shame because most of the mechanics in the game work really well and I was especially impressed with the water physics. The water reacts very realistically when racing and this made the game not only challenging but fun as well. I was also impressed with the controls that have been implemented and not once did I suffer with any problems. Instead the controls remained tight and responsive throughout, which is great. As you can imagine I was eager to try some stunts with these very good controls but unfortunately I was left a little disappointed here. The stunts just didn’t connect with me and the lack of variety meant that I didn’t tend to do stunts much because for me they just lacked style and in the end became boring. Another aspect about the game that lacked style and was boring was the presentation side of the game. Visually the game never does anything that makes it stand out and I must admit that the visuals did look very dated. Unfortunately the sound design didn’t do any better and in the end it ended up making the immersion levels dwindle because it can be quite lacklustre at times. At the end of the day as far as water racing games go it’s not a bad addition to the genre, but I’ve definitely played better games over the years. I will say though that they’ve managed to implement the basic mechanics extremely well and if it didn’t suffer with the problems it unfortunately has then it would have definitely got a higher score from me. That being said it does just enough to get a small recommendation from me.

Aqua Moto Racing Utopia suffers from poor optimization, dated visuals, bland audio and a lack of decent stunts. Though, it has to be said that at its generous price, there’s a plethora of content to take to across several varying modes. It’s far from perfect, that much goes without saying, but if you’re looking for something akin to Wave Race 64, this will just about do the trick, warts and all.

I consider Aqua Moto Racing Utopia to just be a sub-par release. Again, it’s not bad, it’s just not great. Maybe casual/younger race fans might find some enjoyment out of it, but don’t jump into this pool unless you find standing around in the shallow end to be fun.

Played it a few hours and the game really got me. Its hard but fun and really nice to play with friends. Give me also feeling from Wave racer!

I would have liked to see my opponents in the stunt mode but I guess you can´t have all. The water physics is really impressive and I feel like im driving a water scooter. It´s so much fun catching a big wave and making the big jump!

If you are looking for a aqua moto arcade experience to play wherever you are and you can forgive its faults, this title can satisfy you especially due to the good water representation.

Unfortunately it doesn't do a successful job at presenting a memorable game, as its control is far from effective, its AI is often too aggressive and the game betrays its origins as something designed for mobile devices, rather than for gaming consoles.

The gameplay is adrenaline inducing and will totally test your skill. The main feature is the races, and in them you race two types of jet skis. The regular one where you sit down and a more advanced nimble one where you stand up. You compete in championships and earn money by winning or picking up cash chips in the levels. For the money you can buy new and better jet skies. If you place well in a championship you unlock more races and more difficult championships. There is also a party mode with split screen play that has some fun game modes. There is actually a king of the hill mode with the jet skies where the developers have made an actual water hill! Imagine that!

Aqua Moto Racing Utopia initially appeals for being a rare water-based racer. Scooting around on your jet-ski often feels more like riding a bucking bronco than driving a vehicle, and that makes it stand out from regular landlocked racers. However, it's lacking several layers of finesse and balance, the presentation is deeply unappealing, and those aggressive water physics are a mixed blessing. We're just going to have to wait patiently for Nintendo to return to the Wave Race universe, aren't we?
