AI WAR 2 is the type of game that would normally be very good. The concept and guerrilla warfare are both interesting ideas. However, this just doesn't really click or feel that interesting. Given players have access to so much stuff from the beginning, there is no sense of progression which might be the largest killer, if not the steep learning curve. Some might really enjoy it, but general strategy players won't want to hop through all the hoops.
AI War 2 breaks the rules of grand strategy games and puts players out of their comfort zone. The unparalleled strategic depth and great variety of situations make this game an absolute try for every strategy fan despite terrible, terrible graphics and sound.
A unique and interesting take on the RTS, adding a grand scale feel to proceedings whilst managing to not feel overwhelming. Seeing hundreds of units scurrying around never gets old. Heartily recommend to strategy fans.
AI War II builds on the legacy of the first game while also showing that the developers learned the right lessons about gameplay.
