Post Scriptum

Know somebody who might be like this game?

Summary

Post Scriptum is a WW2 simulation game, focusing on historical accuracy, large scale battle, difficult learning curve and an intense need for cohesion, communication and teamwork. Players will relive the events of ‘Operation Market Garden’ across the fields and towns of Holland.

‘The Bloody Seventh’ is our name for the initial focus of the project as we feel it succinctly details the struggle that the British paratroopers had to endure while waiting for their army counterpart to establish a link through the Lower Rhine.

In a 50 vs. 50 multiplayer setting, players will be given the option to fight with the British Airborne Division and its Polish brigade, British XXX Corps or several branches of the German Army, such as the Wehrmacht or the Waffen SS. It’s a rare opportunity to experience the intense battlefield that was the Battle of Arnhem, which stretched across farms, woods, villages and city areas. Each area is being accurately recreated from archival references that range from street level to aerial images. Whether you’re jumping out of a plane, resupplying friendlies or operating a tank you will find multiple reasons to drop back into the battlefield in this grand scaled representation of a WW2 setting never explored in a large multiplayer environment.

Gamepost scriptum is a game in which we can play the role of a soldier or a tank crew member on the battlefield during the times of WW2. Game imposes tactical thinking and cooperation with other players. Great game mechanics and realistic combat make the gameplay addictive. the graphics may not be at the best level, but the gameplay compensates for everything. This is not a call of duty or battlefield game. More for people who previously played squad or insurgency. Generally, I recommend it if you are not put off by sitting in one building for 5 minutes waiting for reinforcements from another team.

Each team of 40 players is broken down into logistics, armor, and infantry sections that need to work together along with the commander in order to be successful. The game is slower paced than Battlefield and REQUIRES teamwork, so make sure you have a mic. Don't worry though, the community is amazing and if you're new just follow the orders of your section leader.

Im a veteran fan of Red Orchestra 2 and both Rising Storms (1000+ hs). Its been long since I havent seen a good WW2 game like this. I wouldnt consider it a Sim, since I find out that there are a lot of consesions to improve gameplay. But as RO2/RS, its a good balance. For now im giving it a 7.5 (8.0), but It has a lot of potential to move up to the 9.0/10 mark if it keeps getting improved.

As a lite WW2 military sim, Post Scriptum has no problem creating interesting platforms for teamwork like tanks and sections; the issue comes in the combination and application of those disparate parts. The environment, UI, and single, overly straightforward game mode keep it from being anything other than a step backward from its excellent modern-day cousin, Squad. My hat goes off to Post Scriptum for what it’s trying to accomplish, but it’s still a long way off from something I'd go out of my way to play.

It's very hard for others to get on-board.
