Well, this opus is not completely freed from the Ubisoft open world syndrome but one cannot deny the amount of work put into it. Beautiful universe, interesting characters, scenarized and rewarding sidequests. It's just a bit too big for me, or at least disproportionate. Less sidequests and more details brought to the races would've been a good example. Good game and a reconciliation with the AC universe for me.

This isA vast and stunning open world realisation of ancient Egypt that I do not want to leave, despite completing the game fairly quickly. This is the first AC game I have played, so cannot compare to previous installments as others have done. But it's got me hooked and I've just started AC Odyssey. The combat is very good but often rather unchallenging. The missions are enjoyable and not too long-winded. There's an interesting array of weapon and skill choices and I really cared about the characters I met.I did not have an issue with grind as others mention, I just played the game as I wanted and easily out-levelled the content by the time I finished the last main story quest, and I still have a lot of areas yet to explore. As a vision of ancient Egypt, it doesn't get better than this and even though I have finished the main plot, I'll still keep on coming back for me just to enjoy this lovingly created world.

Had zero issues with this after 30+ hours of gameplay. Easily the most accessible AC title in the series. Graphics look amazing on my i7700kHad zero issues with this after 30+ hours of gameplay. Easily the most accessible AC title in the series. Graphics look amazing on my i7700k with a GTX1080Ti and I've never had a single crash. Rarely get a little choppy cut scene but nothing that bothers me.

This killer holiday in Egypt is definitely no boring. On the contrary, it is a pleasant excursion to the times, when the sphinx had a nose, and mysterious killers did not call themselves assassins. You cannot find a nicer version of an Ancient Egypt in any other game, and up to it it’s entertaining. A modest family story affects the whole empire at the end, and you will forgive a handful of bugs to its charismatic heroes, as well as the fact, that you have played the same pattern so many times, just in another scenery.
