It introduces little with regards to new gameplay mechanics, and as is current Ubisoft tradition, about 70% of what the game has to offer are either mindless collectibles or repetitive side missions with little depth. It's long overdue for the Assassin's Creed formula to undergo some major overhauls as each new iteration seems to become more and more uninspired and stale. The gameplay is enticing, but only in short bursts. That 70% does a lot to pad the game length, but its entertainment value is short-lived.What I will say however, is that the game does bridge a lot of the story and character threads between AC3, Black Flag and Unity, making this episode of the Assassin's Creed franchise bring about some cohesion to all four games. The overarching modern day storyline however sees very little actual progression, and is barely a few steps ahead of where AC4 let alone AC3 left off.Overall rating - 7.0/10

Rogue is following the footsteps of pirate Black Flag, whose fans will enjoy almost the same gameplay. PC conversion is perfectly optimized indeed, but visually it loses enough already, plus control may not suit everyone.

Assassin's Creed Rogue puts the player in a deep story that lasts as long as 22 hours. Weapons, combat system and new mysteries are all impressive. However, the lack of a multiplayer mode is a downright disappointment.
